Awkward

We've been out to public as an official couple for a few days now, its still new to me walking through the halls holding hands with Dylan, everyone stares at us because of Dylan's reputation, he's still a bully to everyone and a bunch of people are afraid of him. If only they knew.

While walking down the hallway a girl stumbled on Dylan's right arm.

"Oh Im so sorry!" She said embarrassed trying to pick up her stuff that fell.

'Its okay' would have been the best to say but Dylan just stared at her for a few seconds.

"Don't worry, are you new?" I finally said helping her with her stuff.

"Thanks and yeah..." She said looking down.

"To the city and school?" I asked, Dylan still staring.

"Oh just the school" she said kindly smiling at Dylan.

"Sorry... it's just you seem pretty familiar" he finally said.

"I do?" she asked confused.

"Yeah but I know I haven't seen you before" he said with a chuckle.

"And I haven't seen you before either" she said.

"Anyway, welcome" I said a bit jealous.

Dylan glanced at me in a mocking way, he knew I was a bit jealous, the girl smiled at me and walked away.

"See ya around" she said getting lost turning right on the corner of the hall.

"Don't say anything" I said as Dylan took a deep breath.

"I wasn't going to say anything" he said laughing.

"But you were a bit creepy back there" I joked.

"She does seem familiar though" he said concerned.

"Maybe you met her at kindergarten or something" I said as he nodded.

"Yeah probably."

He went to his class while I went to mine, I sat on my chair and took a notebook out take notes.

Laura one of my classmates walked towards me.

"Hey Aria" she said leaning closer. "You know I thought you might wanna know but..." she said taking a pause. "David is back" she suddenly said with a warning look.

"David? And why would I want to know that?" I asked with a chuckle.

"I don't know... you know there's a bit of a story between you two and now that you're with Dylan... and that after you two kinda stopped talking to each other he started to skip school... I don't know" she said a bit nervous.

"Well... thanks" I said trying to sound nice.

"Yeah" she said walking back to her seat.

David's seat was two seats behind me, it's been empty for days and the tests are taken with a few people only during a day, we are never together in the same classroom for tests.

I gasped, I haven't seen David in a while and I don't know how will I react when I see him or if he speaks to me.

The class started but his seat was still empty. 

I took notes during the class and when the bell rang I quickly got up, I didn't want to bump into him on my way outside but that's exactly what happened.

We stared at each other while walking across the hallway, he smiled and walked near me.

"Aria" he said finally stopping in front of my feet.

"David" I coldly said, a bit nervous.

"It's been a while" he said smiling.

"Uh, yeah" I said looking away. "I thought you dropped school" I said he chuckled.

"Nah, I just had some stuff to do so I spoke with the principal and he let me come only for tests, hopefully I'm done so now I can come back and be a normal teenager" he laughed.

"Right, family issues?" I asked noticing I was being too nosy.

"No, other stuff" he said avoiding the subject.

"Oh-" I said as he interrupted my following comments.

"Do you wanna go for a walk after class?" he suddenly asked.

"Uh... I actually have some things to do after class... maybe other day-" I said when he let out a loud sigh.

"Yeah other day perhaps" he said looking away.

"Uhm..." I said when Dylan walked near us.

"Dylan" David said glancing at him with hatred.

"David" he said putting his hand around my waist.

I wanted to chuckle but I didn't want David to feel any more awkward.

"Well I guess I'll see you around then" David said walking away.

"I didn't know David was back" Dylan said as I glanced at him.

"Yeah... the more I know him the creepier he gets" I said as Dylan nodded.

"Yeah there's something odd about him, like constantly wanting to stalk you" he said laughing.

"He doesn't stalk me Dyl" I said joking.

"Riiiiight" he sarcastically said.

"Wait, the new girl knows David?" I asked noticing the girl that bumped into Dylan earlier was talking to David a few meters away from us.

"Apparently and they seem very close" he said glancing at them aswell.

"Yeah, actually way too close" I said noticing David was joking around with her and laughing.

"Maybe she doesn't know him that much? You used to think he was cool, right?" he joked laughing.

"I never thought he was cool, he was just nice" I said a bit mad.

"Nice, right I think he was a stalker" he said crossing his arms over his chest.

"Anyway it's not our business" I said looking away.

"Exactly" Dylan said.
