Chapter 8

It was the next day since the escape and Nancy was now so nervous she thought at any time that Master Victor was going to come around the corner, know what she did and get punished.

Nancy gulped.

She heard the rumors about how the servants were to be “punished” if they did something wrong and she defiantly did not want to find out if the rumors were true.

I hope this works.

She knew she took a big chance last night. If Master Victor were to find out that it was her that helped Chelsea escape then she basically just killed her family.  She hated that the Master Victor “owned” them, as he like to put it.  She hated that her dad was such a fool to buy into Master Victors words on how working for him would help the community and how their lives would be so much easier.

Nancy scoffed out loud.  Ya our lives are completely great now…NOT

Nancy continued her morning chores.

Dusting the dining and living room, sweeping the kitchen, and whipping all the mirrors plus pictures in the hallways.

She came across a picture that she never really looked upon before. The picture was a large golden framed portrait of Master Victor’s son, Scott, just standing tall looking deeply at the camera. She could tell by his boyish looks that it was a couple years ago, most likely when he was around 17 or 18.  She didn’t know him then so she assumed that was what he looked liked.

He looked so different in away. Yes she could see how much confidence he had even back then by the way he stood and his piercing green eyes that sent a shiver down her spine, but he didn’t seem to have the attitude he has now. In the picture he had a look in his eyes that seemed to say he couldn’t wait for his future to begin, like he had his own plans to overcome.

Now when she did see him, mostly when he would walk through the rooms while she was busy cleaning, he looked sometimes depressed. Maybe he too doesn’t like his life.

When she first started working at the mansion 6 months ago she didn’t know Scott , she had only seen him around the house when she was started doing her chores, but he never spoke a word to her. She ust figured it was because she was the maid and plus why would Scott want to talk to a person wearing a stupid maid outfit?  Master Victor sure did know how to be an asshole…

But one night, about 2-3 weeks ago she was already in bed when she heard a noise while in bed. She had only just layed down being faced towards the wall when she heard her door being open.  Her eyes shot open and she slowly turned over.  She could see in the darkness the outline of a tall and musculer man. She didn't know what to do.  She hadn't had this happen to her, but she didn't scream.  She slowly raised herself up on her elbows, the sheet falling past her breasts.

She watched as he slowly walked to her, she couldn't help but stay quiet.  She knew this was wrong but the part of her that had always fantasied about a price coming and saving her wouldn't let her stop this.

When the secret man passed the window, the moons reflection glinted off his face and Nancy sucked in her breath.  Scott?  He kept coming until until he knelled down on her bed, his knee resting againist her hip.  He leaned over her, his dark forest green eyes locked on hers and she couldn't look away.  She was frozen.
