Chapter 3

Continuing of Friday night

Walking into the famous restaurant Pierre’s, Conner couldn’t help but wonder why his uncle had randomly called him out of the blue and told him it was very important to meet him here at 8pm Sharp!

Of course Conner didn’t get much as a say-so because his “lovely” uncle hung up on him before he could get a single word in.

Asshole, Conner said under his breath.

He was opening up the door to the restaurant when BAM! His mind quickly absorbed that he had ran into someone seeing a blurry mass of rich dark chocolate long hair about to fall backwards in front of him, he reached his arms out with quick speed and caught a hold of the mass before it could fall.

Taking a second to breath, Conner looked down at the person he was now holding and couldn’t help the gasp that escaped his lips.

She’s beautiful…   Conner was completely taken aback.

What? I never think like that!

But Conner couldn’t help but see that she was indeed beautiful.  With her dark chocolate hair and curvy body that he fell against his chest it was hard to keep his “excitement” in check.

He had never looked at a girl and thought she was “beautiful”, hell he’s never looked at a girl and thought much at all. With his kind of work, a relationship was just not in the plans.

Ok think man! Say something!!!!!

“Are you alright? I’m sorry I didn’t see you there.” Conner said hoping this beautiful creature that he was holding would look up so he could see her eyes.

I wonder what color her eyes are? Conner soon had his answer when she quickly looked up at him.  Blue. Their eyes locked and Conner couldn’t help but keep staring into them. They were even more beautiful than he could imagine. He could also see that she too was staring at him, for a split second he could of swore he saw desire, he could only imagine how she would respond if he were to lean foward and nuzzle her slim and milky neck.  A slow smile came across his face.  He watched her as she was looking at his face and then slowly started to look down slowly till she finally saw that he was still holding her, to his surprise she completely jerked back and pushed him away from her.

Conner was taken by the blow and luckily steadied himself against the doorframe.

Standing there watching her pick herself up, he took notice of her red cheeks and the tears streaming down them, why is she crying? He wanted to ask her again if she was ok but before he could reach out to ask her she mumbled a sorry and was out the door.

Staring at the now empty door, he was completely torn in two.  Should I follow her or go see my uncle?  Conner debated in his head.  What are you thinking!?! It’s just some girl crying over some stupid date most likely, we got a job to do!

“Right” Conner said out loud, he took one last look at the closed door that lead outside, shook his head clear, and then proceeded to his uncle that was still waiting.
