English teacher: they'll be announcing the winners of the poetry contest on June 2. There is a top three category and then three runners-up.
Ren: is there an awards ceremony? Because, I mean, if there's an audience, i have to get my acceptance speech together.
English teacher: there's a small ceremony in city hall. Nothing too fancy.
Birdie: don't waste your time on a speech.
Ren: how come?
Birdie: because I'm obviously gonna win. (smiles charmingly)
Ren: now you're catching on, Birdie.
