Chapter Fifteen

Sam's POV

I'm waiting for Zayton. By an oddly shaped tree.

When suddenly a very tall man stepped out from behind a rock.

"Who are you?" I ask puzzled.

"You haven't heard of me? I'm the Alpha king of the werewolf race" he smirks.

My face pales. "Where's your Lun" I ask slowly.

"There never was one" he says.

"I've heard rumors of a pair of wolves taking out packs alphas" he says sarcastically.

"And I think I've found one" he points to me. "And you've also come to challenge me" he accuses.

He looks around, "where's the other one?" He asks.

"I don't know" I mutter.

"Hmm, that just means I'll challenge you myself" he smirks.

My face turns whiter.

He then shifts and pounces on me.

I couldn't dodge in time and he lands on me.

Though it was sloppy.

He starts scratching my back.

Before they get to deep I shake him off.

He lands with a thump.

I leap at him and scratch his eyes.

He goes blind.

I then shift too.

I land on his back and bite his neck.

He growls and tries to throw me off but I bite deep enough and falls limp.

I jump off and shift back.

I fall against a tree in exhaustion.

Two fights in one day. And I won both.

I close my eyes and welcome sleep.

Zaytons POV

I start walking towards where we decided to meet up.

When I'm almost there I smell blood.

I get worried and start running towards it.

When I get there I see a passed out Sam and dead body.

I walk up to her and shake her awake.

She opens her eyes slowly.

When she sees me she wraps her arms around me and gives me a huge hug.

"What happened?" I murmer.

"The Alpha king attacked me" she whimpers.

"Shh its okay" I soothe.

She starts sobbing into my chest.

I start rubbing her back.

"We need to go to the kingdom" I say, pulling away.

"Yes" she replies.

We start walking there.

**At the castle**

We're at the front gates.

We take a deep breath and push them open.

We walk up and up to the gaurds.

They look miserable.

When they see us they straighten up. "Halt!" One yells.

We keep going.

"We said halt!" He continues.

"Just do it" I whisper under my breath.

He hears me and we both stop. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" He questions.

I left my chin"we are your new king and queen" I exlain.

"We killed you other king, your free of the abuse now" Sam explains.

They obviously lighten up.

"Well you need a coronation, come on" another says.

Sam's pov

We stand in front of a podium.

The lead gaurd is doing is this.

"Do you Zayton decide to uphold our law and lead us with dignity?" He asks.

"I do" says Zayton.

He turns to me, "and do you Sam decide to uphold our law and lead us with dignity?" He repeats.

"I do" I state.

"Well I pronounce you the new King and Queen" he cheers.

We take a bow and settle in the seats and watch the party

We look at each other knowing we've accomplished something close to impossible.
