Chapter Eleven

Sam's POV
I wake up sore in the you know where region.

I open my eyes to see Zayton looking at me with love in his eyes.

I smile and he returns one.

"Good morning kitten" he whispers.

I just give him a soft peck on the lips in greeting.

He chuckles lightly.

"I love you" I murmer.

"I love you too" he replies.

He pulls me closer and breathes in my scent.

"I like the smell of me on you" he says.

I just roll my eyes while he smirks.

I get up slowly and get my clothes back on.

He gets up and stretches and pulls on his clothes.

In my eyes I was a virgin until last night, but I knew I wasn't and he did too.

"We should keep traveling towards the kingdom, and on the way we can search for abusive Alphas and kill them and if their Luna is abusive we do the same" I suggest.

"I agree, because this mountain range has brought nothing but bad memories" he mutters the last part.

I nod and start putting all our clothes together.

If your wondering where we got the clothes, it was when we went back to the hunters' place and raided their supplies.

Sadly, they had no food left.

Anyway, back to the story.

When we're done packing, we walk outside.

He gives me a look. I nod.

We then trek off towards the kingdom.

A week later we run into a pack with a bad history.

We scent the borders coming up and also the gaurds.

There's not as many as we thought there would be.

Well, it is a small pack. We then walk up to them.

"Stop right there rogues! What are you doing here?" One spat.

"We would like to talk to your Alpha please" says Zayton.

They give us suspicious glances on our way to the pack house.

While we're walking I see slaves doing work with bruises.

We both know this is a pack that needs help.

When we walk up to the pack house he pulls us inside and towards the office I assume.

He knocks on the door.

"Come in" says a gruff voice.

He opens the door and yanks us in.

Zayton turns and growls at the gaurd.

The gaurd just rolls his eyes.

The Alpha looks at us in judgment.

"We would like to talk to your Alpha. Alone" I state.

They look at us once more before turning and leaving.

The Alpha puts down his paperwork and looks at us in digust.

"What do you want? Rogues" he spat viciously.

"To" Zayton stops, "talk" he finishes.

"Yes" I agree.

He raises an eyebrow but let's us continue.

"We've seen your slaves, and we want to do something about it" says Zayton.

"Like what?" Snarls the Alpha.

"One question first, do you have a Luna?" He asks.

"No!" Growls the Alpha.

"OK, fine by me only makes this easier" says Zayton, "but, we're here to challenge your position. To the death" says Zayton calmly.

The Alpha looks taken aback.

"Fine, fight me" he growls.

"Ten minutes" he says, "just the boy" he adds.

I nod at Zayton. He looks at the Alpha.

"Deal" he says.

Ten minutes later there both in a fighting ring.

I grow anxious.

The whole pack is watching in fascination at the rogue challengers.

There's a whistle and the match begins.

The Alpha shifts immediately.

Zayton just nods his head in disappointment.

He doesn't shift and the Alpha thinks that he has an advantage.

He runs in and tries to sweep Zaytons legs under him.

But he jumps up last second, and lands on his back.

I hear a rib crack. The Alpha yelps and jumps back.

He jumps at Zayton unexpectedly and scratches his chest.

I gasp. Zayton stumbles backwards but stays standing.

He then shifts into his wolf. They growl at each other.

Finally Zayton jumps forwards and tackles the Alpha.

He grabs the Alphas neck and bites down.

The Alpha falls down dead.

I hear gasps throughout the crowd.

Zayton shifts back and looks at the crowd scanning it.

His eyes land on a 20 year old with a broad gaze.

He points towards him and motions for him to come up.

"Your the new Alpha" he announces.

"Why?" He asks.

"Because I don't want to be. I just challenged him to stop the abuse. I trust that you will not tolerate it and make it end" he says calmly.

He nods.

We then leave the pack grounds and continue our journey.
