Vampire

I'm totally obsessed with vampires. So this is just one of those random thoughts out of my skull.

"Leave me if you never loved me"

You said, tears brimming your eyes.

"You know that's not true. I love you with every cell of my being"

Dalton said, staring at the floor.

"Tell me that you love me"

You cupped his face pulling it up to look into your eyes.

His face was ice cold and lacked the warmth and the light blush in his cheeks.

"I love you..."

He whispered.

You bent closer to him and wrapped your hands around his neck.

"Don't..."

You moved closer and gently pressed your lips against his.

You kissed him softly.

He didn't respond.

You pulled his hands, and placed them on your waist, not breaking the kiss.

His body tensed up at the contact.

He gave in, and cupped your face lightly, kissing you back firmly.

You broke apart for air.

"See, you didn't hurt me"

You smiled at him, encouragingly.

"But it's not guaranteed for how long will I be able to control my thirst, let alone not get passionate and end up breaking you"

"Nothing is guaranteed Dalton. I can die right now if a tree falls, or tomorrow get hit by a car. You leaving me wouldn't ensure my well being. But you leaving me will kill me, emotionally if not physically"

You didn't want Dalton to leave you.

Now that he was a vampire he possessed supernatural strength and craved for blood which made him lethal.

He was afraid of hurting you, you were fragile in his arms.

He craved for your blood and it took him a lot of self control to not render you into a lifeless corpse.

"But promise me you will back off when I ask you to?"

"Promise"

"Hop on my back and hold tight"

You obeyed and held on to him tight.

He raced through the jungle at a speed that made you dizzy.

He finally stopped in the opening.

"I was afraid that I would end up choking you"

You released the grip around his neck and clambered down.

"You forgot I couldn't be choked. I don't breathe"

He said sadly.

"Come"

He pulled you up with him as you both made your way up the trees.

"It's beautiful!"

You exclaimed, seeing the entire city from such a height.

"These things don't exist!"

"They do. In my world"

"Benefits of having a vampire boyfriend"

You smirked.
