It was that stupid bracelet.

Denise had bought it for her friend Hayley as a thank you gift.

Because Hayles is a sweet heart and buys her things.

Anyway.

That stupid bracelet.

So Denise walked to her locker that morning.

"Hayley!!"

"Dee...what?"

"Um...I got you something." Pulls out bracelet and holds it out.

"Umm..."

"Ta-da!" Denise grins. "Its yours!"

"I don't remember owning that..."

"No! I'm giving it to you."

"Oh, really? Thanks."

Then it happened.

Hayley took the necklace.

Her fingers slid against Denise's hand ever so slightly and her hour fluttered.

Denise's heart.

"Y-you're welcome...bye." and Denise retreats to her locker.

For the next week Denise felt strange around Hayley.

She tried not to show it....but Hayley knew something was up.

She kept quiet though.

On Denise's way to go home, Hayley gives her a hug.

And Denise hugs back, giggling but really, on the inside...

...she felt to happy about the hug.

Her stomach fluttered hard. To the point were she felt she'd throw her lunch up.

"What the heck is wrong with me...?" Denise muttered to herself.

Then she got a scary thought.

Jacobs house
Jacob was sitting on the couch, reading 'the guide to Caleb's heart' a book by nina.

Denise flopped onto the couch. "Jake!"

Jacob gave her a startled look. "Denise?! What the heck? How did you get in my house!?"

"I need help!" Denise wined.

"What's wrong squirrel friend?"

Denise stays quiet for a bit. "So...I might have a crush..."

"You're telling me this because...?"

"...I think I like figgy role up..."

The room engulfed in silence.

"Whoa."

"...I know...."

"Are you sure?"

"I don't know. I almost threw up on her when we hugged."

Jacob lifted an eye brow. "What? Why was that important to share?"

Denise shrugged. "I don't know how I feel. I don't even like girls."

"So why do you think you like hayley?"

"Because...she makes me feel...tingly...and weird."

"So...?"

"And I'm jealous of Izzy bell. WHY DOES SHE GET TO BE HAYLES WIFE."

"You still have nina."

"Yea...but I'm not crushing on nina."
