Chapter 1

ECHO'S POV

I'm walking and I hear a yell . I turn around and look frantically then I start randomly running , I try to stop but I can't , I can't control my body what's happening .

I run into something hard an fall and I scramble back up and I try to turn  away only for a person to grab me .

" Echo , you will be mine , you are my one and only , don't fight me , we will always have a connection "
He says looking into my eyes with his swirling Violet eyes

I start crying and I struggle against him .

" No ! Please I'm Sorry , Just leave me alone , let me go
Oh god , oh god , oh god ,
PLEASE ! " I yell and scream at him pushing him away.

He laughs in my face . And shakes his head as if I just told the funniest joke he's ever heard . He picks me up bridal style .

" Baby Girl , that's not how it works , you are mine as I am yours , and we'll be together one day " He says and chuckles .

He bends down and kisses my neck then he —

I jerk up in bed panting , I look around and crawl and sit against my headboard and cry .
That dream , it's always the same . And it always ends at the same part , and I still feel the same emotion that come with it .

I curl up and grab my knees rocking myself back and forth.
I sob and dig my nails in my arms . I feel a breeze and I look up , It's gone . I continue crying.
I eventually cry myself to sleep .

" Oh Darling " The woman says Caressing my face .

I look up at her , my lips quivering and my face burning . I burst into tears .

" Mommy ! I Fell off the swings ! " I say stuttering
I Look down and try to stop crying .

" Oh baby " She smoothes my hair and hugs me .

I look behind her and see
A guy in black with sparkly Violet eyes . He smiles and Nods at me .

" Mommy my face hurts really bad can you go get me a bandaid ? " I ask sniffling

" Of course , Let me go get my purse I left it on the bench over there " She says and walks off to get her purse .

I walk over to him .

" Hi Friend , you see my boo boo , it hurts really really bad " I say with a wobbly voice .

He smiles and squats down he looks at my face and looks me in the eye again .

" That's a bad boo boo , You want me to make it feel better ? " He asks

I look at him weirdly and nodded . He looked at me then at my mom . He grabbed my face and kissed my cheek . It stung a little but after that it didn't hurt at all . I looked at him with surprised eyes . I hugged him and ran back to my mom , I looked back and he was gone .

I woke up and hit my alarm .
I groaned and closed my eyes .
I sighed and got out of bed .
I went to the bathroom and washed my face , brushed my teeth and my hair .

I went to my closet and grabbed a pair of ripped black skinny jeans , my plain black shirt , and my red flannel .

I put my jeans and shirt on and I tied the flannel to my waist .
I pulled on my socks and shoes and grabbed my headphones and phone . I pulled my backpack on and grabbed my skateboard .

I walked downstairs to the kitchen and saw a note .

Dear Echo , We have gone to work and we hope you have a good day , we Love you !
Love , Mom And Dad

I scoffed and threw the note away . I grabbed a granola bar and looked at my car keys .
Nah I'm gonna skateboard to school I feel like thinking .

I grabbed my house key and put it in my pocket .
I opened the door went out and locked it . I climbed down the steps and hopped on my board .

I took a bite of my granola bar and rode through the park as a short cut when I heard a yell and a thump , then a groan .

I jumped off my board and tip toed to the alleyway .

I peeked around the corner to see three guys beating up someone .

" You pathetic Mutt ! I know what you did ! " He yelled and kicked the guy in the ribs and I heard a crack .

I winced and focused on them.

The guy spit some blood up .

" I don't know what your talking about ! I didn't do anything "
The guy said Weakly

The other two guys glared at him and had there arms crossed.

The guy in the middle grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the stomach . The guy curled  into a ball and coughed blood up .

I gasped and they all turned there head , I shook my head no and slowly backed away . I grabbed my board and ran .

I heard there footsteps pounding behind me .

" Hey Kid ! Get Back here ! "
The guy who I guessed was the leader yelled . I heard a thump and  more yelling .

Oh Hell no ! I do track and I'm not about to get caught .
I ran through the streets still hearing his footsteps .

I ran through the park and jumped the neighbors fence .
I ran down the street and climbed the fence of the bakery . I heard barking and a yell .

" Dämnit ! Dog move ! " He yelled frustrated . I heard a squeal and his footsteps getting closer .

" Haha ! Stranger You suck !"
I yelled in a Very posh Australian accent

I ran to the apartment buildings and jumped I grabbed the ladder and climbed up . I ran up the fire escape and into the top room window .

" Hey Brandy ! "
I said enthusiastically

She nodded and out her book down .

" Cops ? " She asked cleaning her glasses

" Close enough ! Sorry Bye ! "
I yelled and ran out of her apartment .

I ran down the stairs and into the bakery's .

" Ello Journee ! Can I have a
M&M cookie ? " I. Said with my best British accent

She smiles and hands me my cookie .

" Thanks Love ! " I say and walk out the store munching on my cookie .

I sit down on the curb and pull my phone out .

1 NEW MESSAGE FROM MOM

The School called they said you weren't at school , were are you ?

Sorry when I woke up I had a fever and I threw up and I didn't want to get sick at school so I stayed at home .

I sent and I checked the time .
It's 9:00 . Wow he chased me for a while . I hope he tripped and face planted . Haha
