There! She's walking again, before she starts to go running. She does this every other day, the only thing I look forward to. My mom yells at me, and says to continue cleaning the table. I hate working at this family business.
Hot Brew
It's like a coffee shop whatever you want to call it. It's always busy in the mornings. It sucks. I roll my eyes and fix my shirt. My watch blinks, and I see that my heartrate increased. I take slow breaths, and try not to think of her. I could never face her, I'm too big of a geek. No that's creepy. I can't wait to go home and play my video games.

I finished cleaning and about to switch out places with my brother. I hear that door ringer thing go off for the hundredth time today. I look up and, it's HER!
"So this is the place people have been talking about." She smiles at me. Do something Daisuke!
"I suppose. Hi how can I help you?" She looks at the menu.
"Umm. could I just get a strawberry shake?"
"Yup. Your total is $2.50." She gives me the exact amount. And puts her wallet back in her tiny bookbag. I go make her order. She touched me.. Don't get weird. I finish making it. "Here you go."
"Thank you Daisuke." How did she know my name? "My name's Aya. We go to the same school right?"
"Yeah we do and no problem." She looks like an angel, and her hair perfectly in a ponytail. Her black eyes stand out, and she gives me a wide-smile. I'm gazing into her eyes, they're mesmerizing. She shakes her head.
"I should get going." Did she really get done working out or something. She walks away looking confused.
"Uh hold up!" I go run after her. "Your straw."
"Thank you." Her hair looks so silky. And she walks away. Uh crap I must've looked so stupid. Yay my brother is finally here, he gives me the car keys and I go home. I can't stop thinking about her, yeah she's pretty and stuff, but by now I would stop thinking of her. I shake my head. I'm being a weirdo. I change my clothes, and put on my headset.
Login in, and start to play. Yeah it's one of those MMORPG and RPG game, but I love it. I've made my character into a badass, I'm one of the top ten. I regret using my real name, but it's too late now. I've beaten the other top nine except for one.
The number one, best player: LOSER. Quite ironic isn't it? Since their name doesn't match with, whatever. I shouldn' get so caught up in this. I'm waiting for the rest for the guild to pop up. It's so weird, I know there's only one girl in ours, the rest are guys. Again I know nothing about LOSER. Why is it driving me crazy?
They're the only person who popped up, they invited themselves. And, oh oh my God. For once they have their headset on. I turn my on, I'm finally going to hear their voice.
"You ready to go against these asses?" Hold up. That voice..
Thank you Daisuke.
Could it be that..
"Yo you ready?" A male voice yells. Oh yeah, I forgot. Two on two. This should be easy. Before I start the game I change the settings so I can only hear my team.
"Yes I am." With that word LOSER starts it. I pick up my gun and hide behind tree.
"Hey where are you?" Her voice rings through my ears.
"Umm I'm, I'm." Why am I so nervous? "Behind a tree." The screen says that one of the other players been killed.
"These dudes are a piece of cake. Time for you to shine." I peek from behind the tree. The bullet nearly hits my finger. Damn. "Go down, and crawl to left." So she's watching me from somewhere. "You're going to want to stand up and shoot, and one-o-clock. Not now though. GO!" And he's down.
"Thank you."
"No problem." I want to say something, but I'm scared.
"It's nice to hear the number one player's voice."
"I've always had it on, I made it so it doesn't show on other people's screens. But I felt courageous today and disabled it. Feels weird to talk though." She sounds so calm.
"You'll get used to it."
"Just gonna go out and ask this question, but do does your family own a coffee café?" It's gotta be her.
"Yes."
"Oh God." She panics. "Umm I gotta go."
"Aya wait!"
"Assuming you already know who I am, right? This is embarrassing. I didn't want nobody to know who I was in this game."
"You can trust me. I won't tell anyone, or even mention this ever happened." Knowing half of the guys from our school play this game, and for them to find out the best player in this game is some Volleyball player. I could only imagine what would happen. "Aya, I've been wanting to say this to you. You've got the best skills I've seen. And I would love to go against you."
"Please don't use my name."
"I'm sorry."
"It's fine, but don't do it again please.
"I won't."
"Thank you. And about your challenge I would love to, but I got some other things to right now in this game."
"Okay. But remember don't forget it."
"I'll make it my first priority for tomorrow. Log back in at around eight okay?"
"10-4." She laughs. I'm having a decent conversation with her. "Wait don't you have a game tomorrow?" Games during the summer, that must suck. Well she is a pretty dang good V-ball player.
"Shit I do." I can't help but smile. "Wait it starts at three, I'll be done just in time."
"Okay, good." Ooo hopefully that didn't sound bad. "Where is your game at?"
"Just at the high school. Thank God it's not away. You should come. It'll be fun! I was going to go out with the team after, but I can change plans." Here's my crush inviting me to come her game, and possibly hanging out with me after. Not in this game. In real fucking life.
"I'll love to go." My heart's beating so fast right now. "Um well I guess you gotta go now."
"Oh yeah! Thanks for reminding me. Umm it was nice talking to you Daisuke." She said my name again.
"Same with you. Have a nice day!" I take off my headset and on lay on bed, I'm sweating. Why would she want to hang out with me in public? I'm nothing like my character, I'm the complete opposite.
Short and messy hair. 5'9 and little muscle. Yet again I do have abs that I'm very proud of. I need to lift more. My face is clear, I have black eyes. Now when I think of it, I'll call myself cute.
That night I couldn't fall asleep. I kept thinking about tomorrow. She doesn't know I've had a crush on since 9th grade. She probably thinks I'm a dork. I better play it cool tomorrow.
