My eyes scan all the poems in the journal and I smile at beautiful poetry. The only thing that bothers me is that my best friend wrote this about someone. I don't know why but I get a negative feeling about this all.
I look around his blue room and something catches my eyes. I grab the frame and look at the picture analyzing both our faces.
"Checking us out?" A deep voice says
I turn around to see him smirking and my face turns red. I set the frame back where it was and flick his forehead.
"You scared me!" I exclaim with a smile
"How's that?"
"I thought someone robbed you. Your door was open and I came in to investigate. You weren't anywhere to be seen so I started reading your journal"
I smile waving his journal in my hands and Garroth tries to get it back. His eyes widen and he starts to beg me.
"Give it back~" He begs
"Roses are red, violets are blue, there's one person in my heart and that is you" I read out loud giggling at his poem
"Stop~" Garroth groans trying to reach for it
"Oh here's a good one. How is someone going to kiss you the way I do. How will they love you the way my heart does"
Garroth snatches the journal out my hands and I make a puppy face. He chuckles and boops my nose.
"Let's hang today" He says out of nowhere
"Sure where at though? Last time we tried to watch a movie here Laurence kept flirting with me the whole time" I giggle
"Go get dressed. Date material clothes. I have a place you'll love in mind"
"Pick me up at seven then. A girl needs time you know" I smile at him and he nods
"Alright bye! Love you"
"Love you too"
I smile at my best friend and walk across the street to my house. I open the door and run up my room.
"The usual!" I shout out and my door busts open
"Another date with your boyfriend~"
"Katelyn, Garroth isn't my boyfriend. He's just simply the closet person to me"
"Sure, sure that's why I totally didn't catch you two about to kiss" She chuckles
I blush at the memory and pick out an outfit in my closet. I get into them and sigh looking at myself in the mirror.

"Let me give you a short lecture before I let you off"
"Argh not this again" I playfully roll my eyes and smile
"No kissing! I don't want your first kiss to be when I'm not around. Second of all we don't need another Travis so don't let him be touchy with you. Two feet distance okay!"
"Got it Katelyn" I say sitting up
"Have fun!" She shouts as I run down the stairs
I open the door and see him standing there already. I laugh and close the door.
"Perfect timing" I say looking at him
"My best friend sure knows how to clean up well" Garroth comments and I blush
"Thanks. The same goes for you"
He grabs my hand and opens my door. I look at him confused while he flashes me a bright smile.
"Where is my rude friend?" I ask smiling
"Can't a guy be nice on a date"
"Date?" I ask trying to hide my smile
"Oh um heh. I forgot we're just hanging out" I see blush raise up his cheeks and I pinch them smiling
"No, no a date sounds nice"
I give him the same smile as I look around the restaurant. The lady comes and we order our food. Garroth orders the perfect meal for me and I order for him.
"How's your son doing?" I ask thinking of the cute toddler
"He sure is growing. Currently he's with his mother but he'll be back home next week. I can't wait to see that kiddo. It's been months"
"Ah I'm sorry things didn't work out between you and Azura. At least Levin doesn't lack love from any of you"
"You make me feel so old!" Garroth complains
The food arrives and I smile at the sight.
"Someone sure is excited about their breadsticks" He chuckles
*. *. *. *
Garroth walks me to my home and I smile as he fiddles with his thumbs. He places his hand on my shoulder and I freeze at his touch.
"I have to tell you something" He breathes out and I nod
"I fell for you. I fell for your awkward self" Garroth confesses
"Awwwwww my best friend has feelings for me" I tease him as he blushes
"Stop~" He groans with a red face
I feel his hands on my waist and his face inches closer to me.
"Young lady! What did I say about touchy touchy" Someone yells
I turn around and see Katelyn folding her arms. She quickly grabs my hand and pulls me towards her. Garroth chuckles and quickly bows.
"Ma'am I'm sorry for touching your daughter. I'll make it up"
"You better young man! I don't know what's up with this generation. Kissing on their first date. In my days we got to know each other before making a move"
"Katelyn what are you talking about!? In your day is this year" I giggle and stand beside my 'mom'
Katelyn and I enter our home and I run to my room. I receive a text message and I read it smiling.
