5 Months Later

"Aaron, I don't feel good." He walks over to the bed and sits next to where I'm lying down, "what's wrong baby?" He moves to lay down with me putting his head on my body pillow, "I don't know, I'm nauseous and cramping and I don't know why." "Do you want me to get you anything?" I shake my head and grab his hand, "just lie here with me, I don't want you to leave." "Baby, are you sure you're okay? You're never like this." He repostions himself so that he's now spooning me, "Aaron, I think I'm in labor," he sits up and puts one hand on my waist, "baby why didn't you say so. How long have you been like this?" "About 2 hours. I didn't want to say anything because I didn't know what to do." He helps me sit up and grabs my hand helping me off the bed, "baby, here's what we are going to do; I'm gonna call my parents to meet us at the hospital, and you are just gonna relax and I am going to do whatever you need me to do to help you alright?" We get down to the car and Aaron's mom tells us they're leaving for the hospital. I'm not going to lie, living in Manhattan is annoying when you're in labor trying to get to the hospital.

"Aaron, I don't want to do this anymore." He grabs my hand and rubs my shoulders, "baby, you're okay. You can do it, alright? I'm right here." He moves one hand from my shoulder to grab his phone, "what are you doing?" "Texting Daniel and Serinda and Norbert and the golf guys and their wives, so that they can come up here once the baby comes." As another contraction hits, he puts his phone down and wraps an arm around to my stomach. He bends down and kneels next to the bed on his knees, "you doing okay?" I nod and squeeze his hand, "just don't leave."

"Oh my god, she is absolutely beautiful Aaron." Serinda says as she walks into the room over to my bed, "thanks, she looks just like her mom I think." He comes over and takes the baby from me so I can lay down, "what's her name?" "Adelaide Cosette, from Guys and Dolls and Les Mis." "Who came up with that, Aaron?" He looks at me and then at Serinda, "it was actually Jill, I wanted Sophia. But I let Jill choose." "Oh that's sweet, I prefer Jill's names anyways, yours is boring."

One Week Later

We've been home for a couple of days now and Aaron won't let me do anything but relax, which I don't mind but I also do. "Jill, do you want anything to eat? Also, you need to feed Addy, she's getting fussy." He hands her to me with her bottle and a pillow so I don't have to hold her up the whole time, "Can you make me some mac and cheese? And a glass of wine?" Aaron heads out to the kitchen, within 20 minutes he comes back, "here is your macaroni and your wine, and I also got you some Nutella and strawberries." He finishes feeding Addy and then she falls asleep on his chest, which holy shit is so cute. "Hey Jill, my mom wants us to come over for dinner tonight, is that okay?" "I don't know if we can with Addy being so small, but I mean I guess we can." "I asked my mom about that and she said it would be fine cause there isn't gonna be that many people, it should be fine." "Okay, then yeah we can go."

Later that day we get Addy ready and head out to Midtown to his parent's house. Once we get there, there are 7 cars outside the house, "Aaron, are these all for your house?" He puts the car in park and throws his head back, "goddamnit, my mom's done it again. She did this before my first show too, I was so nervous and she invited everyone over to the house." "Aaron, Addy is only a week old, I don't want her to be overwhelmed." We get out of the car and Aaron grabs Addy from her car seat, while I get the diaper bag and her swing.

"Oh my god! There they are!" Posie comes over and takes the stuff I have to the other room, "Posie, who are all these people?" "Neighbors, extended family, people Aaron hasn't seen in a while." I'm guessing someone tried to take Addy out of Aaron's arms because I hear her screaming, "Aaron, what's going on?" He comes over to me rocking Addy, "one of my neighbors from when I was 8 came over and tried to take Addy and now she's crying, can you take her while I get her bottle babe?" I grab her and take her upstairs to Aaron's old room to quiet her down. I hear someone knock at the door and then Aaron open it, "hey baby, I got her bottle but it sounds like she's okay now." "Yeah, she just was overwhelmed, like I predicted would happen." Aaron walks over to the bed and sits down in front of me, "listen, I know this is upsetting so I'm going to go downstairs and talk to my mom, you can stay up here or you can go back downstairs by yourself and leave Addy in her swing to sleep." He takes her from me and puts her in her swing before helping me up and pulling me in his arms, "I'm just so tired and I want to just be us again."  He rubs my back soothingly and kisses my temple, "baby don't cry. It'll be okay, I'm gonna go talk to my mom now and we can leave if you want. I just want you to sleep too, come downstairs with me and I'll let you know what happens with my mom."

Aaron's mom invited the nosiest people over, why do they care how I raise Addy? "Jill, come here sweetheart." I excuse myself and go over to Aaron, "so my mom is upset but understands why you're mad so we can go home." We go upstairs to get the baby and everything and say goodbye, making up some excuse and then head out.
