Chapter 5

They finally arrived at Nashville around 3 in the morning Chelsea was asleep. Jon and Joe watched has she slept because they were very overprotective of Chelsea even if she was asleep they have been like that since the day that she was born. It was just a natural thing for Joe to watch over his daughter because she has been very depressed since her mother Paige left while she was so young. Jon watched over her because he knew that she needed to be watched after all the class and voicemails that chelsea left him last night he was worried that she was pretending to be sleeping until Joe finally was asleep and then would have all of these thoughts rush into her head then just start cutting to have that release of all the pain she felt because she had thought that she did something to make her mother not want to be around, just knowing that it worried Jon so he did not sleep much at all. Chelsea woke up around 5 am because she had a series of bad dreams so she woke up covered in sweat and tears. As soon as she shot up she was screaming "NO! MOMMY COME BACK PLEASE!!!!" this woke both Jon and Joe up, Roman looked at his daughter and said "Baby? What is going on?" chelsea said nothing but he knew that when she was ready to talk that she would come to him (at least that is what he hoped for.) Roman dozed back off he was half sleeping and half not so out of the corner of his eye he sees Jon get up and go over to Chelsea and was like "Shhhhh, it's okay it's not your fault, it's just a bad dream." Joe what Jon was doing and he was okay with it because he knew that Jon was the only person that chelsea would talk to. So after awhile of Jon holding Chelsea while she was crying she fell asleep in his arms because she felt safe when Jon was around. Luckily he was because if he was not then she probably would start cutting and she knew that if she was with Jon he would talk her down and hold her, tell her that life is worth living because 50% of the time chelsea thinks that she is just a mistake and that her mother would be happy if she was dead.
They woke up the next day and they went to a rental store and rented a really expensive car to go see the sights of Nashville. Roman was a little uncomfortable with the fact that Jon had fallen asleep with Chelsea in his arms. In the back of his mind he knew that Jon was comforting his daughter through her bad dreams but he didn't want him to catch feelings for her. They went on to go drive around it was Roman and Dean in the front and Chelsea was in the back listening to Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley so she just put her head back and zoned out. Roman saw that she zoned out and he nudged Dean's shoulder he was like "What's up Joe?" And he was like, "Jon I know you and Chelsea are really good friends I just want let you know she's too young and has so many problems because of everything with Paige." Jon looked at him and was like "Joe trust me I am nothing more than her bestfriend." They looked at each other and they went on driving.
