After much crisscrossing of few seconds, he encircled his hand on her shoulder from sideways and made her sit straight. Her still swollen eyes failed to see the concern in his. She did not resist or fight with him but relaxed in his embrace. His milky hands rake through her hair while she hid her face in his chest. Maybe this time, she did not have to face a rejection. At least, her husband will not leave her for the world!

Time passed on. They did not get the track of it as they were in the pensive world where they needed their daughter and mostly, they needed each other. Two incongruous souls found solace in on another but they did not want to admit they did. They did not want to divulge the truth that they truly felt good being together, being for themselves.

It was three thirty in the morning when Raman opened his eyes as an insect crawled on his face. Frustrated, he got up suddenly to see where he is sleeping in a forest or something. It took him few minutes to adjust his sight and remember the happenings of midnight that brought him there and the peaceful slumber he had because of someone's soothing aura and he could still feel her soft hand on his cheek.

That could be a dream! She would not have done that. He was sure. Or did she? He rubbed his forehead and looked around. It was still dark and no living soul was visible in the surroundings. Holding his head in his hands, he sighed out. The chilling climate has made his hands and feet numb, pale, and immobile. Stretching his hands, he yawned aloud thinking of going back home. However, his normal antics halted when he found himself covered in her shawl.

"I don't understand her...!" He muttered looking at the shawl.

He should be throwing it away in anger. However, not today...not anymore. Instead of that, he hugged it closer. A kind of relief embraced him when he smelt her fragrance from the fabric. He felt good and that he did not like. He did not like doing things like that, sneakily. That do not mean that he would do things in open but somewhere deep down, he felt bad for himself. Not because he had to marry her but because he had to put forward so many irritable things to make her stay away from him and all he wants now is her being there.

While walking towards his house, he was in deep thoughts. He wanted to see her but he did not know when and how he fell asleep when he was supposed to be consoling her. His steps froze in front of her doorway. A new feeling of possession, he did not think that he would feel it this sooner. He wanted to go inside instead of his. Nevertheless, he knows he cannot really get inside rightfully, fearing how she would react. His hands spontaneously huddled the shawl tighter before a sigh escaping his lips.

On the other side, Ishita was in deep sleep after the exerting whining in her husband's arms. She had fallen asleep in his embrace when he, so strangely, secured her closer; never letting her feel that she is going to fall from the bench if he loosens his grip around her. He had leaned back in the bench, resting his back on it, taking her along while she clung on to him completely. That comfort was normal in a nuptial life but for her, she did not expect this ease in his arms, that she felt right and wrong at the same time.

After hours maybe, she opened her eyes to see her in his arms. She could not believe that they were this closer and that did not go well with her attitude. She did not like the fact that she had to find calmness in his arms and his proximity did not disgust her anymore! If it were Ishita Iyer, she would have given a piece of her mind to this arrogant beast, pointing he has crossed his limits even so she knows it was not his fault. She would have started a lecture and she knows well that they would have ended in a verbal fight for eternity on matters of illogic!
