"Tell me again why we're in a baby store" I huffed, making Katherina stop and look at me like I was stupid.

"Yes I know I'm with child, but when I said I wanted to get out of the compound, I didn't mean to shop for baby supplies" I snapped.

"I never got to prepare for my little girl, you have the chance to give this little girl the best she deserves, and Let me tell you shopping for a baby in the 21st century is much easier than shopping in the 18th century, so suck it up mama, besides it's not like you can go drink in a bar in your condition" Kat smirked, yes apparently Haley found out about a month back that I was having a girl.

"Fine I'll look" I sighed walking away.

I looked at the array of pastel pinks, blues, yellows and greens, it was like a unicorn blew up in here, I hated everything about this shop. How in the hell could I raise a baby if I hated even shopping for one, as I looked around at the colourful plush toys and soft wooden furnishings when something black caught my eye, I walked towards the small clothing racks and picked up the small black onesie.

I laughed out loud as I read what was written on the little piece of clothing, "careful I bite" it read in bold white letters with two blood red exclamation marks, how ironic I smirked rubbing my belly.

"Cute right" a bubbly voice said from behind me, I turned around looking at the smiling sales assistant.

"Vampires are like, so in right now, thanks to the whole Twilight phenomenon, what I wouldn't give for my very own Edward Cullen" she continued dreamily.

"Fat chance of finding a vampire around here" she continued.

"Who knows one might be closer than you think" I mused, picking up the onesie from the rack.

"A girl can dream, well just holler if you need anything congrats on the baby by the way" she grinned then walked away.

"Find anything?" Kat questioned coming up behind me with a cart full of pink baby stuff.

"What the hell" I exclaimed.

"There is no way that baby is going to love Rebekah more than me. Aunt Kat has a nice ring to it don't you think?" she explained.

"You do know my child will be your aunt right?"

"That's just biology" Kathrine shrugged walking to the checkout making me roll my eyes.

"Idiots" I muttered as I walked towards the New Orleans cemetery.

Kat and I had spent a stress free day away from the compound only to come hope to find Nadia recovering from a snapped neck, she said Klaus had left, she tried to stop him but she couldn't. I tried to call both Marcel and Rebekah to warn them he was on the loose, but I couldn't get an answer, I hoped they had left the city behind but I knew Marcel wouldn't leave Davina here knowing there was a chance she could be resurrected.
