The Life Of Allister

  "Sis.."
   A small weakling voice came out from Shally that awakens my thoughts.
   "Hey! You're awake huh?" I haven't noticed that she's up already, I must be thinking again. "Yes, 3 minutes maybe. Is there a problem?" Asked Shally while examining me all over, i could even laugh at her actions. "Nah, why would you think of that?" I fake a smile and pinch her skinny cheeks causing her to giggle. "Well.. You seem to be off, is there something troubling you?" There is. Her condition is only getting worse as everyday comes and i couldn't do anything to help it!
     Shally has a Leukemia. She's only 2 years old when it was diagnosed and she was confined at the Hospital after that. Until now, its her 7th year in Hospital. The white room was her cage. She's weak and her immune system as well so that she can't go outside, and play with the other kids like the usual kid does. I feel pity for my Little Sis.  She's the only family i had, our parents died on a car accident while rushing to attend at my Graduation day, and Shally was the one who survived. Our relatives never turn their eyes on us, and i have to shoulder the responsibility and it was on my front starting that day.
    I get to find and work on a  multiple part-time jobs to be able to make money for my self and Shally. I trashed the dreams of getting in and Graduating from College like the others does, because it was me who left to take care of Shally.
   A year after that, when Shally turned 2 years old, i came to notice that something's wrong with her and i rush to a clinic for a check up and they refer me to an hospital.
     With that.. I figured everything out.
     I never had friends since that day, I'm not in to social things because there was more important thing running into my mind everyday.
    "Nothing much, Shally. By the way, I brought something for you!" I handed her a pink paperbag. Its not really something special, although she was really greatful recieving gifts from me. "Thank you so much, Big sis!" That was the words she always gave me, pairing a smile on it.
   I use to buy DVD's for her to watch everytime i came to visit, i didn't know if she likes those stories or not, i randomly pick DVD's so i don't know if i buy duplicates of every movies, and i buy different Titles each one, so maybe the story doesn't flows. Even then, i always see her smile sweetly as ever recieving anything from me.
   "Uh, Sis? Why wont you go to school?" The heck to that. How many times did she ask that to me? Is it three? No, Eight maybe! Wait, Isn't that too far? "Nah, School sucks!" I replied casually with sighing. I lied, really. "Its fun! You get to hang out with different kinds of Peoples! You can make friends with them!" I smiled watching those sparkles in her eyes. The cheerful heart inside that fragile body of hers really shines. "What's fun with that? You need to study a lot. Well, I'm idiot, people like me don't have a place for it, i guess it wont work. Haha!" Well, i miss school too, but.. My classmates will just surely laugh at me. I mean, I'm already 26 years old,  i guess Its pretty too late. "Don't say that, You're amazing." I.. Am.?  "I'm looking forward to go to school someday, it'll be fun to make a lot of  friends." Yes, I want to see her hanging out with a lot of friends, to see her reading books from school, talking to her teachers about her excelent behaviour. "Yes! You surely are, and i will be picking you up everyday!" I said smiling at her and kissed her head. "Sis.." , "Yes?" I answered looking at her with a smile. "Why don't you have a friend?" I.. Dont have a friend..
  I remember i used to have plenty of them, but.. I forgot to keep in touch with them after Graduation. "Well, you're wrong. I actually have one!" Her eyes widened at me. "R-really?" I nodded with a smile before i answer. "Yes, YOU"

   I don't give much reasons to live on and to be happy in my life. All i do is to buy presents for Shally and to visit her.
   But Shally was different. She has alot of hopes in life, she's happy in her life and she keeps on fighting. I wish i could just switch on her, i should be the one to lie on the bed, to be fierced with those injections.
    The spring is coming. Shally likes it when spring because she saw a lot of flowers blooming. The 5th street will be filled with different kinds of flowers because of the Spring event.
    Yes! Maybe i could ask permission for her to go out even just on one day. I will take her to every shop to buy what she wants! Yes! I better start looking for another part-time job, one won't be enough! I need to find two or more! Yes!

"Really?! You will do that." There was a lot of excitement in her eyes when i told her about my plan for the upcoming spring event. I knew she will be so happy in it. "Yes, of course. For you." I smiled re-assuring her. "Thank you very much, Sis.."
