(Aiden's point of view)

I watched Ash grab her stuff, say bye, and head out the door. The second she left my smile was gone with her. I hated pretending to be happy for her when she had no idea what was really going on, and quite honestly I felt horrible.

But I suppose it's for the best...

"You alright man?" Luke walked over to me breaking my train of thought.

"Yeah." Came my distant reply as I gazed at the floor.

"Hm, that's believable." He replied sarcastically as he plopped down next to me.

"Look are you upset about this whole Ash thing?" He hit the nail on the head.

"Obviously, I mean it's like we are lying to her!" I hissed in frustration at him.

"I know, but she needs this." He sighed and I couldn't help but to agree.

We lied to Ash, well more like we pretended. Everything yesterday was for show, it was all planned. The contract we signed was not even real. I'm also pretty sure there were no real words on that paper, just a bunch of mumbo-jumbo stuff. The reason we did this all was for Ash. She needs her mate whether she likes it or not, but she's to stubborn to even admit her feelings for him!

I'm still not happy that she has a mate and I am pretty sure I never will be, but I know it will make her happy to be with someone. I mean after all, whats a wolf without their mate? Making them spend time together in a fake pack will ensure they become closer to one another, showing how much they really care and love for each other.

"Everything will be fine, don't worry to much about it. It will all be worth it soon enough." Luke said as he patted me on the back, stood up, and left.

I sighed out loud thinking about all the things that could or could not unravel through this.

(Ace's point of view)

I couldn't help but to feel a bit guilty over the fake contract and lying, but I had to do it! Well I guess I didn't have to but I wanted to...

This is the only way I can show her that I want to change for her! To be that kind of guy that she will fall in love with.

I want to show her I will be there for her

I want to show her I will care for her

I want to show her that I will always love her

It's hard to show her any of this when she keeps running from and avoiding me. I didn't really want to have to do something like this, but if it gets me at least ONE chance to try and prove myself worthy of her, than I will do it.

I guess it's true when they say love can truly drive someone mad.

But if it's love with her, than call me crazy.

My wolf howled at the thought of our mate being with us and I couldn't help but to smile too.

(Ash's point of view)

During my daily walk I couldn't really help but to feel like something was off. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I knew it had to be something. Maybe it was the way Aiden was looking at me this morning? Or maybe it was the fact that we combined packs?

Somehow though, I felt it had to do more with the former, and I guess that's what worries me.

I shook off the thoughts and just kept walking. I examined the leaves on the trees with delight, Autumn was coming near a close and winter would be here. I always did love to play in the snow, but I now dreaded the fact that I am a black wolf on white snow, its easier to see me that way.

"Ash!" Someone called as they ran up to me and fell into step beside me.

I looked over to see Colby smiling warmly at me. It was hard to feel that old resentment of him with the way he was being all friendly. Maybe he wants to be friends now that we are in the same pack?

"Hi." I gave him a small smile in return.

"Look I wanted to ask you something." Hm, of course he did. Does he ever just want to just say hi instead of want something? I looked at him to continue.

"I want to start over with you. I know I wasn't the nicest and I really want to start anew. Is that okay?" His honey-brown eyes bore into mine and I couldn't help but let the guilt hit me from my last sentence.

"Okay, sure. I would really like that." I admitted with a warm smile. At least I got a new friend out of all this.

We chatted for a few minutes and found that we had a lot of things in common. like the way we were both enjoying this weather and the same type of music. He soon had to run off though and I continued on my walk. He seemed really nice and helped me forget about the current situation.

Who knows, this might not even be a bad thing if things keep going like this.

In a way, I was kinda glad we combined packs...
