he always looked like a crystal,
beautiful,
glimmering even at the gloomiest days.
oh but take a closer look,
it isn't perfect.
he always looked so jagged.
how could anyone so attractive
look so much broken?
and now he looks more like a large shard of glass from a broken bottle
rather than that jagged piece of crystal.
