i skipped lunch
and sipped on water whenever i felt the urge to eat.
i went to the library instead
because i didn't want to be surrounded by food.
that evening,
i skipped dinner too.
i told my mum
"i'm not hungry"
it was a lie.
obviously i wasn't used to not eating
because my stomach growled constantly,
but i was determined

i threw out all the junk food
