In fact, he'll actually enjoy your pain.

He will REALLY enjoy your pain.

I shrug "doesn't matter if she does, she'll change her mind. We are meant to be"

Jayda nods "It's true, you'll be together before you know it. I mean there's no real obstacle"

"Unless she is dating someone" Maddox pipes in.

"How about you shut the hell up and stop making idiotic comments" I snarl.

"Do I need to put both of you in a leash? Stop acting like kids" She snaps and I shake my head.

She is way too much woman for him.

My eyes follow Isabella wherever she goes.

She had gotten taller since the last time I saw her and had grown into a graceful woman fit for a Luna.

Jayda was good looking, she really was but just looking at Isabella once and the rest of the women around looked boring and blank.

They didn't have the spark that Isa has.

"Please stop looking at our waitress as of you want to eat her. You are making everyone in this table very uncomfortable" Maddox says and Jayda giggles making him smile.

I look away, I would have been able to make Isabella giggle like that. If only I hadn't majorly screwed up.

Isabella walks back with a smile on her face "Hey guys, hope you're enjoying your food. My shift is now over so Betsy my co-worker will be with you for the rest of the evening" She says perfectly as if she's said that same exact thing another thousand times which she probably has.

"Awww, that sucks. Would you like to join us?" Jayda asks and I look at my mate with a hopeful expression.

She shakes her head my my hopes are crushed. "No thanks, Luna. My roommate is already waiting for me outside. Maybe next time. Have a good night"

Then she leaves.

I stare at her back my eyes following her as she exits the diner.

Then my blood boils, waiting for her outside was a guy a little older than me holding her bag. His face brightens when he sees her.

The guy gives her back his bag and in return Isabella throws him the car keys which he catches smoothly.

They get into the car and soon enough drive out of the parking lot.

I look away from the window and see Jayda looking at me with pity.

I try to keep the hurt and anger out of my voice "We haven't seen each other in 7 years, It would be foolish of me to expect her to not move on. That doesn't mean I won't get her back because I will. Even if I have to kill that guy which I am really looking forward to"

People always think, that Alpha's like Maddox are the most dangerous.

How wrong are they.

Maddox is strict, closed off and a little traumatized but he focuses most on his hate towards rogues.

I'm level headed and charismatic.

I'm deadly to everyone because my craziness is hidden.

To those of you who don't know, Jayda is Maddox's mate. They were the main character's in my other book Mates with Alpha Maddox they are the reason why Ian and Isabella even exist lol

So yeah.
