He nods "I understand"
"Okay good, now that we are seeing eye to eye I'd just like the common curtesy of you not coming to this diner ever again" I state.
Ian smiles "I understand, I really do but I never turn my back on a friend and from that rant all I got is that you have a lot of pent up anger inside. You probably didn't mean a thing you said"
I growl and push him, but he doesn't move a muscle "I meant everything"
"Let's go back inside, I'm hungry" and then he just walks away.
Entering the diner, I see Jayda and Maddox talking animatedly. The way he was looking at her, it was beautiful.
He looked at her with so much love and adoration that I felt wrong looking at them.
Ian on the other hand felt no shame in interrupting them as he plopped down opposite to them.
Maddox's face immediately looses all emotion as he leans back and looks around. His eyes landing on me and he glares.
Umm what did I do?
Rolling my eyes I walk back to the kitchen to get their orders.
Grabbing a tray I place the three plates and walk to their table placing their food in front of them.
Once I do that, I force another bright smile into my face. "Can I get you anything else?"
Maddox smiles falsely "Yes, how about better service. Maybe even a new waitress. We've been waiting for our food for like 40 minutes"
On the inside I wanted to rip his tongue out so he would stop being so rude and annoying on the outside though "Yes, My apologies. I had been dealing with something"
And that something was Ian. Seriously Jayda's mate should cut me some slack I was after all talking to his friend.
"Could you just for once get that stick out of your ass Maddox? All you have done since you got here is complain. The reason why we are here is so I can talk to my mate. I was doing just that and you throw a fit" Ian snaps, his gaze challenging him.
This wasn't going to end well, both alphas were challenging each other. I wince.
I didn't sign up for this.
Just as Maddox was about to open his mouth Jayda pinches his side making him look at her.
Her gaze said everything.
Make a scene and you'll regret it.
I decide this is a good time to take my leave before they start arguing again.

Ian's POV
She was even prettier from up close.
I used to drive by and stare creepily at her from time to time but nothing beats actually seeing the light freckles that are dusted on her cheeks or the way she hides her hate towards everyone with one big rehearsed smile.
Truly beautiful.
"I love her" Jayda gushes and I nod with a smile. "I do too"
Squealing Jayda takes a bite of her burger.
Maddox drinks from his soda "She hates your guts"
"She can't hate me, I'm her mate" I roll my eyes.
"Well you've been a pretty shitty one so she actually can" Maddox fires backs.
That's the thing about him. Maddox actually gives zero fucks. Meaning he'll always tell you the truth, even if it hurts you.
