"Teresa!" Lexa yelled as I entered camp "where have you been, you were supposed to be training" she sounded mad. Ever since I was a little girl my older sister Lexa had to bring me up, all she ever wanted for me was to become a powerful, strong warrior and leader someday but a few weeks ago I fell in love with a sky person and was ready to throw my life away for her but I knew Lexa would never allow that so I kept my love, Octavia a secret.

"I went out for a walk" I replied, lying

"I don't believe you!" she said squinting her eyes "you been going on 'walks' for the past few weeks and I think you're lying"

"Why would I lie to you sister?" I said, afraid she knew about Octavia

"I have no idea but you've been less focused on your training lately"

"Maybe that's because you won't let me do anything else. I'm not allowed to have a life because of you and your stupid training!" I screamed becoming angrier by the minute

"Is this because of a boy!?" Lexa yelled back

"NO!" I yelled "if you cared you would know I'm interested in girls but you don't. All you care about is making me like you but you know what Lexa, I don't want to be anything like you!" I screamed

"What?" Lexa whispered shocked.

"You heard me!"

"Teresa I didn't know you felt this way" she frowned "I'm sorry"

"Yeah well sorry isn't going to cut it for all the pain you have caused me" I spoke confidently "I can't stay here anymore, I'm leaving" I started walking out of camp,

"Wait Teresa!" Lexa cried "I can't lose you too"

"You lost me a very long time ago, you just never noticed" I replied tears forming in my eyes before I left. Making my way to Octavia, hoping her people would accept me but boy was I very wrong.
