'Are you lonely?' Izaya looked at his hands laying on his back in bed. It was quiet in his house. The soft rain tapped the window.

"I am not lonely. I have my beloved human. Shizu-chan." Izaya spoke to himself softly. "And my many friends.... Well most of them hate me..... Meh I pay them to do what I want." Izaya yawned but couldn't fall back asleep. "I have Shizu-chan to play with. After all he is my favorite..."

It had been a week since he left his apartment. The girl had sent him a long message on private chat. It was the first suicide that went through. Normal Celty saved them. But she didn't know, he didn't know, the girls mother kept asking Izaya questions. But he responded with he was sick so he wouldn't have to talk to the mother.

'I'm sorry my dear friend, our small chats gave me some sunshine in my life. But I do not belong here. My heart tells me so. I was forced to move to Ikebukuro, away from my friends, away from the one I love. This is good bye. Thank you my friend who I cannot call by name. But names didn't matter here. That's ok. May you do what your heart tells you. Live on my friend and be happy.'

Izaya punched a wall. But why? Out of anger. He didn't wish her to die. Depression puts the mind in a very dark place. He forced himself out of bed and walked lazily to the big window. He looked at the girls parents hugging one another and crying. A feeling he couldn't quite understand. Would someone miss him if he were gone? Laughing to himself surely not. What an absurd thought. No one would miss a god of chaos. Izaya smiled to himself and looked around his kitchen for something to eat. Most of his food had expired from not eating it. So he cleaned out his fridge and freezer. He flinched when he herd a loud knock on the door.

"Well now. Looks like someone wants to visit me." Izaya grinned to himself then opened the door.

His face was pale and eyes darkening with annoyance looking up at the blond bruit who took the liberty to punch him hard in the chest. He didn't see it coming but probably deserved it. Shizuo growled looking down at the raven. Izaya fell backwards and slid across the floor close to the couch.

"I can't believe you Izaya?!? I bet you killed that girl. Messed with her head and pushed her to that dark place. It's all your fault!!!" Shizuo yelled loudly.

I couldn't stop coughing. He had a strong fist, always did. And I got rammed with it. To close. Laying on my side I caught my breath eyes closed in pain.

"I didn't kill her you m...monster... W..we were friends.." Izaya chocked out quietly.

"Haha friends?!? Flea you have no friends. You put that burden on yourself." Shizuo growled picking up Izaya by the neck of his shirt as he took a knee in front of the raven. "Why!!! Why did you do it?! She didn't do anything to you."

"Are...y...you a lonely p...person Shizu-chan." Izaya said his eyes feeling heavy.

"What?! The hell is that supposed to mean. No I'm not lonely but you sure do ruin my life." Shizuo growled.

Izaya smiled closing his eyes as his head rolled back he was out from lack of sleep and a blow to the chest.

"Damnit. How are you supposed to answer me when you out!" Shizuo yelled shaking the flea.

Angrily he picked up Izaya roughly and dropped his corpse like body on the couch. Izaya lay on his back one arm on the floor and his legs spread out a little. Shizuo angrily fixed him to a more comfortable position.

Izaya groaned and opened his eyes to find a blanket over himself and the horrible smell of cigarettes. He looked to his left to see Shizuo glaring at him letting out a puff of gray smoke in the now smoky room. It was amazing the fire alarm didn't go off. Izaya sat up quickly in shock Shizuo's piercing eyes on him.

"Why are you still in my house?" Izaya asked annoyed

"Make sure you didn't stop breathing so you can tell me what the hell you did." Shizuo fracked his knuckles eyes flashing with rage as he flew a gray cloud at Izaya who coughed.

" I'm gunna stop breathing with that shit in my house. I didn't do anything alright?!! She sent me a message then died this morning. I had nothing to do with it!!" Izaya yelled standing up loosing his cool.

Shizuo blinked not ever really seeing Izaya yell and get mad. He always had a sly laid back personality. Like a fox, up to no good. Izaya walked over to his computer turning it on and read the messages aloud. Going Alittle tongue tied when he read 'are you lonely?' He sad down his hands shaking a little  as his eyes were wide. Did he miss this girl. Their small talks everyday before she went to school and when she got home. How she talked about her friends and her lover she left behind. For some reason it was satisfying. To hear such simple things... Peaceful. Shizuo put a hand on Izaya's shoulder. The raven flinched and got up fast backing away not wanting to get hit.

"Don't touch me" Just get out of my damn house Shizu-chan!!" Izaya yelled

"I'm sorry Izaya. I'll probably run into you later or hit you with something." Shizuo spoke calmly his voice low with a hint of pain seeing Izaya snap like this. It didn't feel right.

Shizuo opened the front door and left closing it quietly. He missed the girl. For once he knew the feeling of a true friend. Taking Shinra for granted and breaking the somewhat of a friendship with Celty because he messed with Shizuo to much. Izaya was lost. He sat on the floor next to his window hugging his knees to his chest.

"Y...yes I am lonely..." Izaya told himself out loud then buried his head in his knees.

Three days since Shizuo ran into Izaya's house. The blond stood on the deck of his apartment smoking his cigarette. It was dawn. The streets were quiet. The city silent. At least it was to him. Without Izaya around it just wasn't the same.

"I shouldn't have hit him.... Then again why do I care about that damn trashy flea." Shizuo looked down at his hand balled it into a fist. "He does enough bad things. Then again that girl. I wonder if she really was his friend. They talked for about a month it seems." He blew a cloud of gray into the sky. "Eh I'll let Shinra deal with him. It's not my problem."
