"Plum-cake!! We need to load the car quickly before it starts to-. Damn it really?" I walked out of our small one bedroom apartment holding a box with fragile tequila shot glasses to see my dad looking up and frowning at the gray rainy sky. I shook my head a little and chuckled. This was my typical dad. Always fixed on thinking things thoroughly, only for them to not come out as planned. It always happens.
"You know dad, scolding at the sky isn't going to make the rain stop." He turned to look at me and then smiled. "Yeah I know, but it does make me want to throw a certain brunette at the sky." I chuckled again until my dad had me in his arms and was swinging me around with ease. This unleashed the inner child within me and had me laughing like the content person I used to be. After a while, my dad finally put me down.
"Alright sugar-pop, let's go inside and wait until this rain passes over."
Three hours passed and the sun had completely already left us when the rain finally stopped. Dad was sleeping on the couch while
I was sitting in the middle of the living room. "Ie Ie, I'm hungry." When, I turned around I saw my little four year old sister, Ellie. She sat down next to me and placed her hands on her stomach to signal hunger. Before I could answer anything, the door bell rang. I stood up and picked her up in my arms. When I opened the door, there was a teenage boy holding a large cardboard box. He smiled at me and held the pizza towards me. "One large Hawaiian pizza for one gorgeous young lady and her adorable little sister." Smiling I took money out of my pocket and gave it to him. I also gave him a piece of paper with my number on it and winked. I took the pizza and closed the door.
When I turned around, my dad was opening his eyes and sitting up. "Oh damn. Sorry kid, I didn't mean to fall asleep... Oh shit. We need to leave now." He looked at his wrist watch and stood up in a split second. Quickly he grabbed the last four boxes and took them to our little trailer hooked to the back of our royal blue truck. "Hurry kids before-"
"Well well. If it isn't Mr. Estrad running away again." Me and Ellie were exiting the front door when a tall man with red hair and a gray suit walked out of the shadows casted by a maple tree. He approached my dad with a huge smile plastered on his face. Not again. I ushered Ellie into the house again and ordered her to lock the door after retrieving my silver katana. Quickly I climbed the maple tree opposite to the one he descended from.
"Raphael, when are you going to stop bothering me?"
The man announced as Raphael smirked and snapped his hand back with one jerk that revealed a long blade with a snake wrapping around the handle. "When Karen orders me to." Hearing my mothers name coming from that abomination made me want to leap at that instant, but I didn't. "Well tell Karen that I'm never going back. I have more important thing than to play guinea pig for that manipulative woman that claimed to be the mother of my children. I will not let her touch my babies. Not after what she did to Travis." I could have sworn that I saw something shimmery slide down my dad's cheek, but that's impossible. My father doesn't cry.
"Huh. Do you really think that she cares what you think? After all, she was willing to leave you behind in the Atlantic. If it wasn't for the fact that you had the little rascal with you, she would have left you." Raphael approached my father while raising his sword in the air. My dad showed no signs of fear and gave a dry laugh instead. "Honestly, I couldn't care less about what Karen thinks about me. I only want that bitch to leave me and my children alone." Raphael jumped and kicked my dad in the chest in attempt to knock him over, but it was fun to see him fall on the ground instead. "And I know that you didn't dare come after me, an S class assassin, on your own." The man laying on his back smirked. "I'm not a fool. I know what you are capable of." Not so long after, a six foot tall man came from behind the same tree that Raphael did. This time I couldn't stay still. They were going to slay my dad. Without hesitation I leaped into the air and in front of my dad whom was still holding Raphael down with his foot. The man stopped on his tracks and looked genuinely amused. "So you are Karen's daughter. I'm not surprised. You have her green dagger like eyes. Those that could pierce through a man's soul. Do you currently have a boyfriend?" The teen got out of her defense stance and looked at the man in disbelief.
"Are you kidding me? That is so irrelevant to any of this."
"Lolli-corn," my father growled. "What did we say about fighting stance during an encounter?" Oh yeah. Never let the enemy see your weak spot. Well this fella ain't gonna see it. I launched my self with my unsheathed sword and slashed at the annoying prick in front of me.
