What's my name? My name is Gene Falcom and I have a gift, the gift of freezing time. I live in a small town called Roriksville. I am 13 and in 8th grade and I was 5 years old when I was paralyzed from my waist down due to a car crash. So here I am, in a wheelchair, in 8th grade, with a gift to freeze time. Freezing time comes in handy, like when I'm hungry, or playing a prank, or just needing more time on a test or something. I still wish I could walk because freezing time in a wheelchair, doesn't have a lot of options. Now that you know a little about me, I'll go back to my normal life.
"What are you doing now Gene?" Tyler my best friend said at lunch. "I don't know, trying to stack these cups but failing every time I guess." I said "But didn't you do it on your first try?" "I used my gift, I guess it makes me look more impressive, that's good to know." "Yeah it does a lot, you're so lucky." Said AJ my other friend. AJ and Tyler have always been my friends. We all went to preschool together, and then every grade after that we were in the same class. I admit I might have altered the class list a little every year so we could all be in the same class.
After lunch I went to 7th hour english I forgot all about a roots test we had. I froze time right there, and rolled over to the teacher's desk to look at the key and attempt to memorize it. After I was pretty confident I wheeled back to my table and my class started the desk and I got a perfect score when I answered and went back to check the correct answers. But Gene, why would you cheat instead of just getting a fair score like everyone else? you are probably saying. All my life I have thought, if you have a gift use it because that's what they are for.
