Work was insane.
"Elly, you're, like, famous!"
"Elly, you're so lucky!"
"He's mine," one coworker had told her with a death glare.
"You can have him," Elly responded bluntly.
Elly's boss, however, was not excited for Elly. Nor was she jealous. In fact, Elly was certain that her boss didn't feel emotions.
Ever since the coffeehouse incident, her boss had been even more cold to her.
Elly pulled her phone out quietly, making sure no else could see as she hid in the copy room.
Help, the sheeple are at it again, she texted.
? Came the reply.
Sheep people. Follows the crowd. They've been brainwashed by mass media and a mob mentality.
I agree! An expected response.
They won't stop badgering me, she texted back.
I thought they were sheep? Totally different from badgers. ;) Meet me when you get off work.
