i watched as he blushed, swaying slightly to the music, his hands in mine.

i couldn't help it, letting the tears fall freely before burying my head in the crook of his neck. i couldn't. no. i couldn't cry in front of him. not over this.

i slowly looked up, ashamed of myself. he wiped the tears that pooled on my jaw with his thumb, his eyes sparkled so brightly, i got lost in the translation.

it's happening. he never left. i never lost him. we finally made it.

i intertwine our fingers, tears threatening to fall. his smile is wide, and the space between us gets smaller.

we pause, and the music starts.

forwards and backwards, we dance like there's no tomorrow. we clutch onto each other, never wanting to let go.

the guests stand in awe. i catch a glance at our parents, and not one of them is dry-eyed. my steps become more confident, as the tempo rises.

we pause, and i seize the silence.

"forever?"

a/n: ok so my mom used to sing this to me and me being a sentimental shit pot this song makes me so very happy. so i made a happy one shot.

by the way, the first parts were all in past tense, leading up to their first dance at their wedding, to where they danced to the song "ilysb" by guess who, yeah lany.

anyways hey guys. i'm in florida! and i just want to relax, but apparently that's not something you do in my household. travel today, party tonight, plans tomorrow, easter, flights, scuba-diving (that i can't do, and my mom is taking my gopro)

buuuuuuuut there's a little girl who is so freaking adorable i can't even. her name is presley and i keep having to pry her from my sister.

but i want to be that aunt/cousin who you look up to, but i only get to see her once a year. u g h
