Aphmau's POV
I awoke to the sight of a few people around me. Some were even on the floor. A strange quartz portal was behind me. I looked up to see a woman standing there, holding me.
"I can't believe it. It's really you!" She cried. She had white-ish hair and pointy ears. An elf? No, they don't exist. Do they?
"W-where am I?" A man with brown hair who was on the floor stood up, rubbing his head. "Who are you people? What, what's going on?" A look of terror and sadness befell the elf girl's face.

"Do you recognize the name Zoey? She asked. I thought very hard, but to no avail. I slowly shook my head. Suddenly she sounded desperate. "Garroth, Laurance, Dante, Emmalyn, Kenmur, Kawaii~Chan, Katelyn, Levin, Malachi, Nicole, even Aphmau or Zane?" Nothing came to mind. The lady looked as if she was about to cry.
"No. No, no, no, no, no! Not after all of these long 15 years..." 15 years? What on Earth was she going on about? "Aphmau, it's me! Zoey! Don't you recall anything? Do you not even remember Phoenix Drop?" I slowly shook my head. And that was it. Zoey had begun to cry. Slowly, the others around me stood up. We stared at the weeping girl. And she stood up, wiping the tears from her eyes.
"I suppose it is of no use to cry. Now, do any of you recall anything of your past? I need something to prove you're alright." And slowly, one by one, we all were shocked to realize that we didn't recall a thing. Zoey looked as if she might faint. "Okay." She took a deep breath. "Follow me." She led the six of us to a small village in ruins. I gazed at the looming trees and the half destroyed buildings. Something seemed to snap inside of me, but I didn't know what. Soon, we reached a small settlement within the ruins. Zoey instructed us to stay put and wait until she returned. She quickly dashed into a small house. The sign on it was too far away for me to make out the words.
A handsome young man with blond hair emerged from the house. The man gasped the word, "Mom." And as he ran towards me for reasons I didn't know, he quickly stopped. And sadness filled his faces. I had no clue as to why, but soon the blonde haired boy spoke.
"Do you recognize me? You don't seem to." He took a slow breath. "After all these years of efforts. After all of the turmoil Phoenix Drop has gone through. And all for nothing."
The man spoke again. "I'm... Levin." His voice broke on his name. "Follow me to the Yggdrasil tree. We will let you sleep there." We were all walking towards the large and beautiful tree when a blue haired man walking towards the same tree came into our sights. He froze. Then he slowly turned around to face us.
"A-Aphmau! After all these years, you've returned!" He ran up to me and hugged me. Who was this Aphmau? I didn't return it. Zoey whispered something in his ear. And his face fell. He held me an arm's distance away. His blue eyes staring deep into mine. Taking a deep breath, he nodded, than turned and walked away.Levin revealed himself to be the lord of this settlement called Phoenix Drop. He helped us get settled in the top of the ginormous tree, and then left to discuss "business".
The six of us would have made introductions, but, well, we knew nothing of us or our pasts. I couldn't stand the fate that had been given to us. What was going on? I snuck out that night to eavesdrop on a meeting that Lord Levin was holding in the plaza.
So yeah! There was my first chapter! I hope you all enjoyed! Let me know if the chapter was too long, too short, or just right. Bye!
