There five consonants that we about to learn. It's ㄱ,ㄴ,ㄷ,ㄹ,ㅁ. Let's begin!!

ㄱ[G/K]
Basically, has two sounds. If is initial consonant of a word,it sounds like [k]. If not, it is pronounced as [g]. For example,가구 (furniture) has the sound value [kagu].

ㄴ[N]
has the sound [n].

ㄷ[D/T]
If is initial consonant of a word, it sounds like [t]. If not, it is pronounced as [d].For instance,도둑 (thief) has the sound value [toduk].

ㄹ[L]
has the sound [l]. It could be a little hard to pronounce this Korean [l] sound. Here is a simple tip for you. Position your tongue as if you were saying a "d"- then say "l" instead.

ㅁ[m]
has the sound [m].

Now,we move to vowel.We will learn five vowels. Which are ㅏ,ㅓ,ㅗ,ㅜ,ㅐ. Let's start the lesson!!

ㅏ[a]
has the sound [a] in the word 'car'.You can also think of it as the "ah" sound you might say when you've realize something.

ㅓ[eo]
is pronounced as [eo] in the word 'up'.It is similar to "uh".

ㅗ[o]
is pronounced as [o] in the word 'old'.

ㅜ[u]
is pronounced as [u] in the word 'glue'.

ㅐ[e]
is pronounced like [e] in the word 'men'.

Now we can make some words from what we have learn. There are 13 words. So, let's start!!

-가다 (to go)

-더 (more)

-나무 (tree)

-가구 (furniture)

-나라 (country)

-노래 (song)

-도로 (road)

-매너 (manners)
