It had never crossed my mind.

The thought of needing to start at a new school has now taken over, and filled my mind.
  A tall, lanky 17 year old, as pale as a ghost. Scruffed up and messy brown hair and deep blue eyes. Even when you glance at me you can tell I'm extremely uncoordinated, how was I supposed to make friends.

I was jerked to the back of my seat as the plane made its way down to the airport. I was so busy stressing about my new school, I hadn't realised we were already at L.A. I looked around as the plane got lower and lower, checking out my surroundings. I couldn't spot grasslands anywhere though, it looked nothing like Australia around here, but, I better get used to it now. After all this is my new home and I would be living here for at least the next 6 years.

Once we got off the plane I was constantly stumbling over my own feet as my stomach was still turning from the plane trips here.

After we received our luggage we caught a taxi to our new house which I had never seen before. I hadn't even heard anything about the new house at all, it was almost a mystery to me, but I did know that it was a two story house and that I had the biggest room, which floor that was on... I was unsure.

We arrived at our news house and as we left the taxi I looked around, scanning the neighbourhood. It seemed like a lovely place but who knows what goes on behind the scenes. The upside to it all was that I knew the school was on the next street. As we approached the front door I could feel my heart racing and head pounding. I decided to step through the front door with my eyes closed as I wanted to be surprised when I entered. I mean I did have to live here for a long time.

I stepped in, and opened my eyes.
The walls were such a beautiful baby-blue I fell instantly in love with them. Downstairs there was;
A lounge-room, kitchen, bathroom, storage closet and two bedrooms.
On the upper story there was just simply a lounge/dining room and the main room which had a walk in robe and ensuit, and this was mine.

It was so amazing knowing that the whole upper story was mine. I had it all to myself, it would be amazing for when I have a friends over, well that is if I make friends.

Our family took the next week to unpack and settle into our new house, it was now Sunday and I couldn't stress more about starting at my new school tomorrow.
