Chapter Seven

"SAGE!" Cade  calls my name from the distance.

"Goodbye Cade," I whisper, "Goodbye forever."

I don't look back. I keep my eyes foreword so that I can stay focused. I don't know where I will go now, I just know I can't be ther-

I twig snaps and my attention jerks to the thorn bush on my right. A boy completely dressed in black steps out. He has a gun in his hands.

"Sage?" The boy says, tearing away his face mask.

"Logan?" I question him. Logan runs up to me and kisses me smack on the lips.

"What are you doing here," Logan asks, "I told you not to try to contact me." Tears fill my eyes.

"I was scared," I say, "I was scared that something back had happened to you."

BANG!

With no waring, my vision becomes blurry, the world becoming fuzzy.

"SAGE!" Logan screams and I topple to the floor. Blood soaks my shirt and I know I've been shot.

I try to keep my eyes open, but I can't. The gun shot hurts me, but I don't really feel it as the
