17. Jackson (Fencing)

"Ooh... look at her."

"Guys, stop, she's on beast mode. Hahaha!"

You ignored the other students as you headed for the gym.

It was your P.E. time and you were going to practice fencing.

You saw him, Jackson Wang, waving and smiling at you. But you ignored him as you put on the white mask.

"Are you ready?" Your friend asked you as you held on to your foil (the sword), and you nodded.

Today is the fencing championship at your school.

"I'm not going to let him win this time." You glared at him behind the mask you were wearing.

You walked to the center of the gym and he did too.

"Fencers ready?" Both of you nodded. "On guard," You both raised up your foils against each other. "Fence!"

You started swinging you wrist in a circular motion, trying to keep up with his pace as he was too fast in fencing.

You walked forwards and he steps backwards, you two did this until he sways his foil against yours, now doing what you just did.

You were almost at the edge of the blue carpet when his foil touched your stomache.

"Aya!" He said as his bended foil pointed your center.

The small crowd cheered and applauded for your opponent.

You uncovered your face angrily, and walked away dropping your foil. Your friend called you out, but you ignored her.

You went outside and sat on the bench.

You didn't notice it until you felt water rolling down your eyes; you were already crying.

You've never imagined being 2nd place and it was your first time. Also, this is especially because a new student beat you.

Suddenly, someone tapped your right shoulder, you turned around to see Jackson offering you a handkerchief.

"Uljma ______." He had a worried face on.

"Stop pretending to be concerned Wang! We all know you really wanted to beat me because I treated you badly and you were just being even with me." You walked away but he stopped you when he blocked your way.

"Hear me out first, okay." He said and you rolled your eyes as you crossed your arms.

"If I ever offended you, I'm sorry. I mean, if I'm better than you, then I am." You sighed and tried to walk away again but he also stopped in front of you.

"Okay, sorry again. It wasn't supposed to be like that. But on serious note, if you could just let me make it up to you, then please, just let me." He furrowed his eye brows and pouted. You thought that it was cute.

"You know, Wang, it's my fault. If my best wasn't enough, the. I could just do better next time. I've already accepted it." Once you said that you already accepted, more tears formed in your eyes. You tried to hide your face from him, but suddenly, he hugged you.

"Okay, let it out, just let it all out, ______." He rubbed your back as you continued crying more.

Once your crying became silent, he pulled out from the hug and looked at you.

"What?" You asked as he was staring intently at you.

He suddenly kissed your forehead, with both of his hands supporting your head.

You just stood there, not knowing what to do. As soon as the kiss finished, he smiled at you. But you were still trying to program what was happening between the two of you.

"Kaja, I think they're already waiting for us." He slung his arm over your shoulders. He walked, but he stopped again as you weren't walking with him. "What's wrong?"

You didn't respond.

"Come on, we'll be late for the awarding, jagiya!" He smiled widely.

You just blushed shyly and walked with him.
