Jason's pov
"Get your guns now! Cover the doors and keep away from the windows!" Gun shells start flying everywhere. "Hold your ground! We are the people's last line of defense and our mission is to keep those things away from them!" Explosions are happening in the background. Soldier after soldier are falling to the ground. "Incoming!" A mortar flies into the building next to us and pieces of brick and rubble are flying everywhere. "Fire again and keep them back!" A soldier named Jack yells to me, "Sir the people have been evacuated!" I yell to the other soldiers, "Keep firing! We have to hold our ground!" I return my attention to Jack saying, "Jack! You and Ace go on top of that building and see what is happening. We might be able to get an advantage." "Yes sir!" Jack replies. Jack and Ace run up towards the roof. I lead the rest of his crew to the enemy's mortar to scare them.
Jack and Ace are providing the rest of the team with cover fire. Jack notices the enemy is pulling out and realizes they have called in an airstrike. Jason and the rest of his team are still out pushing the enemy farther back. Jack yells to Jason, "Jason get out of there NOW!" "Why should I," I reply, still advancing forward, "we're winning." Jack screams back, "No sir! They pulling out cause they've called in an airstrike!" I freeze with sudden realization. I then call out to his team to stop. "Take cover now!" My team and I move to get into a building. "Keep your eyes peeled," I ordered, "they could come from anywhere! Keep moving into the buildings! They should be able to protect us!" We moved farther into the building and that's when we realized something. It wasn't just an ordinary airstrike.
It was carrying firebombs. Firebombs are used to burn things right to the ground, taking entire cities down. And these menacing weapons were heading right to the Evac point.
