Carter

Carter sat in the prisons shackled and defeated. His skin was masked in nothing but sweat, soot and dirty. He wore old fashioned robes from that of the elder days.

Carter's eyes scanned the room, as he saw a soldier of light pass his cell. "Carter Rhodes." The man spoke in a foreign language; the tongue of the old.

"I'm here. Yggdrasil." Carter's tone seemed half dead and disconnected. He had been imprisoned for far too long. To him he had been here for four months, but to the human mind, to the eyes of Man, he had been imprisoned for over seventy-five thousand years. Any normal person would've went mad.

Yggdrasil smirked. His pinned back red armor was glistening in the dim light. He held on a helm as if he were one of the factions' warriors. But he knew the truth. He was only a subordinate to the elites. The Grigori.

"You've been summoned today." Yggdrasil' words were clear and precise. He wasn't speaking Latin anymore. He was speaking clear cut English. A mortal version of our tongue much more precise and cut and dry.

"So Alabaster wants to see me?" Carter conveyed as he rose to his feet.

"Not exactly, Uriel will be seeing you today." Yggdrasil unlocked the prison as he smirked. "Be happy, you're getting out maybe your summons will be served today too."

"I highly doubt that, Uriel and I aren't on the best of terms." Carter admitted. "Either she hates me or she did."

"Good luck." He smirked as he unlocked my bonds and shackled them to his prisoner's chainmail.

The walk throughout the coliseum was horrible. Various spectators would often harass and yell absurdities at Carter. He didn't pay mind to it much but it did tick him off a bit when people would call him crude words.

Making our way towards the central halls, we walked out into the show stage. Carter didn't know exactly what he was doing here, but Yggdrasil seems amused.

"Get out there!" He flung his chainmail outward and unlocked it just as Carter went skyward.

As he fell to the grounds, Carter felt humiliated being in the center of the coliseum being an object of amusement.

Gazing up at the high throne, he noticed Uriel; a beautiful woman with silver-black hair and cold eyes that held a strict sense of justice.

"Carter Rhodes." Uriel spoke with a calm tone. "You have been chosen for an audience, all you must do is survive the show; if you choose not to you will be subjected to the Atonement process where you will be stripped of your wings."

"Stripped of my wings?" Carter emphasized on those words. He had a feeling she meant he would be cast out of heaven but he need to be certain.

"You will lose your status as a Seraphim and be known as a Fallen Angel." Uriel's words were cold and vindictive. A woman with such a promising composure. Carter never liked dealing with her and luckily because of his status he rarely did but now his fate was held in her hands.

Carter didn't like that. "What is the task? Redemption must be earned for my sins in falsely assuming responsibility over the Fallen Angel known to many as Cameron Rhodes."

"Yes, that must be served." Uriel advised. "But, I can look over this so long as you pledge your allegiance to me as your superior and follow my orders."

"You want me to be your Cherub?" Carter clenched his teeth.

"Consider it an internship, to learn from an Arch at their right hand." Uriel smirked.

Carter frowned. "I decline."

"As expected." Uriel rose to her feet. Her shimmering golden armor and her helm perched right on her chainmail underneath her left arm. "As the Arch involved in this trail, I subject the Seraphim Carter Rhodes to the ultimate atonement, you are stripped of your heir light, you are stripped of your honor and your grace, from now on you must walk the earth in search of grace, honor and light. Do that well and you might earn your right back to commune with your siblings."

Carter smirked. "So you're casting me out of Heaven to the lower planes of man?"

"No." Uriel refuted. "You are being condemned to Earth, the final realm that holds the least of light."

Carter didn't fight it this time. He knew that now everything changed. From now on, he would have to get used to seeing people that would not see him and he would have to get used to being invisible.

And so he did. He was casted out of heaven and for the first seven years everything was odd. Mere humans would look at him, but then they would walk right past him. It was as if he were alone having no one to talk to.

But then his life took a drastic turn for the better. Carter learned of his brother and a prophecy that would awaken a new advisory for the war of the celestials. One that would cause about the end of the world – Apocalypse.
