"The problem with you Ian is that you didn't know how to keep it in your pants" I say slowly walking towards him. He stays silent.
"The problem with you is that you didn't think I was worthy enough to wait, the problem with you is that you had sex...
"Excuse you?" Connor asks staring at the cup in disgust.
"To know answers, you need to drink their blood. The burn you feel when you touch the tree is you experiencing your ancestors death" Adron explains.
"Will it hurt?" He asks Adron who replies "Your body will suffer but your mind will not"
I step in between Adron and Connor. "You don't have to do this we can go back to campus and forget we ever met this creep"
"Leaving will cause her death" Adron says making me scoff.
"He said the same thing to me that I will be the cause of your death, ignore him he is crazy"
"I refuse to take that chance" Connor says and in one quick movement downs the whole cup. Blood dripping down his chin.
"Connor what the hell" I yell as he collapses to the floor in agony.
His pain filled screams made my blood run cold I quickly cradled his head in my hands trying to get him to snap out of it.
"Connor, Connor wake up! WAKE UP!" I yell tears falling down my face.
"He won't come back, not until he learns what he needs to know." Adron says calmly.
"If something happens to Connor I swear to all that is holy that I will end you" I hiss.
"I am not scared of you little girl" Adron chuckles and in one quick movement he is on the floor and my hands are around his neck.
"Not so tough now that you aren't possessing my best friend huh?" I extend my claws still not completely shifting and run my clawed finger over his jugular. "Just a tiny bit more pressure and you are done for. You'll bleed to death right next to your ancestors, so I suggest you stop with the stupid comments and start praying that he makes it out okay" and with that I let go of him turning my full attention to a still screaming Connor.
• • Connor's POV
I don't feel any pain, I guess it must've not worked.
I open my eyes but I still can't see anything and that is when I realize that there is something over my face and my hands are tied.

I struggle trying to find a way to untie my hands. I bet this is Adron's fault. It was all probably a trap and now he has Isabella.
Somehow I manage to break free and take off what was covering my vision to see that I was in some sort of clearing. Behind me was a humongous iron wall and in front of me where trees, hundreds of trees.
I decide my only shot at helping Isabella is going through the woods instead of trying to climb the wall and that is what I did.
