I just noticed that Tino is a short guy. So now all I can imagine is him trying to get things around the house and he can't reach half of it. So Berwald has to pick him up so he can reach it because Berwald is just a giant.
Plus Tino would probably whine when he wants to kiss Berwald yet he can't reach. So Berwald has to lean down so his wife can reach his lips.
