Note: Loosely based on Maine's blog about their first encounter after TP. That was also the day when Vico made an appearance on KS & Alden's obvious jealousy.

Kalyeserye just wrapped up, everyone was rushing to other appointments. Mama Ten found Alden alone in the guest's dressing room staring into space, shoulders slumped, looking defeated. He quickly smiled as soon as he realized he's not alone. Alden's  smile not quite reaching his eyes.
MT: oh, kanina pa kita hinahanap. May problema ba?
A: ha? Wala naman, pagod lang.
MT: alam mo naman siguro may shoot ka today, WITH MAINE. (big smile & kilig)
A: alam ko (frown)
MT: so totoo talaga yan, di ka excited samantalang d ka makatulog kagabi dahil atat ka na for today?
A: (sigh) ewan ko, nag o-overthink na naman ako (rubbing both his hands on his face)
MT: pahinga ka muna, may oras pa.
MT was about to leave when A asked,
A: nanood ka ba kanina?
MT: oo naman.
A: kung di mo ako kilala, kunwari fan ka ng AlDub. Mukha bang kinilig si Maine kanina kay Vico?
Sus! Yon naman pala ang problema kaya nagmumukmok ang bata! MT thought amusedly.
MT: hindi naman, normal lang reaction na masaya syang ma-meet anak ni Bossing. Friendly kasi sya.
A: yon din sabi ni Sam kanina.
MT: kasi yun lang naman talaga yon.
A: halata bang medyo nagselos ako kanina?
MT: ay hindi naman! (over-eagerly) Umusok lang ng bery light ilong mo!
A: niloloko mo naman ako, Ma Ten eh.
MT: umayos ka nga dyan, tigilan na pabebe mo.
A: di ko nga alam bat ako nagseselos eh (under his breath)
MT: di mo pa kasi aminin inlababo ka na.
A: agad agad, di ko pa nga sya kilala masyado?
MT: o sya sige, nagseselos ka na eh crush mo pa lang.
A: sige pagtawanan mo ako, araw mo to eh.

Maine is so quiet, unusually quiet. Patchy gave her a once over thinking she's asleep but she was just looking out the window of the van as they traverse the metro traffic.
P: huy! Ok lang? Ninenerbyos ka?
M: normal naman siguro yon, first shoot with him, hello!!!
P: relax ka lang, mabait yon & super gentleman.
M: alam ko.
P: wow ha? Ok pero seryoso, relax ka lang. Agit na agit yung aura mo.
Maine gave a long & deep sigh. Pano kung di ko alam gagawin ko? And so many other questions bothering her. Umayos ka, Meng! Ginusto mo 'to so it's time to wear the big girl's panties! She forced herself to relax.

She was in her make-up chair when she heard the buzz of Alden's arrival. Ok maliit na bagay, she thought. She saw him coming towards her through the mirror in front of her. He's smiling but not his usual vibrant smile.
A: hi, Maine! (with matching beso)
M: hi Alden!
A: I have to get ready na rin, see you in a bit.
M: alright, see u!
Ok so that wasn't so bad! Yey for Meng!

After just 15min of struggling to pose together, the photographer called for a break. He didn't get a single usable pic of the couple.
What is wrong? Ito na ba yon, ito na ba ang AlDub? Asan yung magic, yung spark? Maine thought resignedly. To say that the photographer was disappointed is an understatement. Is it me? Kaya ba nahihirapan sya due to my inexperience? May problema ba si Alden sa kin? They were so awkward together it's almost painful.

MT: umayos ka, Alden ha? Mahiya ka kay Maine.
A: eh sa nagkakahiyaan kami?
MT: professional ka, maawa ka kay Maine. Sa yo sya kumukuha ng direksyon, ng lakas.
A: (feeling guilty) pasensya ka na. Alam ko mali ko.
MT: wag ka mag-sorry sa kin, don ka. (Pointing at Maine)
A: ang ganda nya sa personal, di pa rin ako sanay.
MT: inuulit ko, ikaw ang matagal na sa industriyang ito, inaasahan ka ni Maine. Be professional. At hindi nya kasalanan seloso ka.
MT's statement woke Alden up, I am actually giving her a hard time because I feel shitty! Get a grip, will you?

A: umm, Maine, pasensya na, I'm kinda off today baka fatigue lang.
M: uy sorry din, I'm so nervous I feel weird.
First time jitters, I think.
A: let's try again, ok? And let's not try to hold back yung kilig nararamdaman natin.
(Flashing his oh so famous, boy-next-door grin)
Help! Ang gwapo naman! Maine thought in panic. Relax ka nga, sige ka i-pack up tong shoot ngayon.
M: haha sige, I'll unleash Yaya Dub.
A: No, unleash Maine. I want Maine for this shoot.
Why does he always say all the right stuff para kiligin ako? Grrr!
They both entered the studio to alert the staff that they're ready. Alden kept on giving her pointers & telling her to relax.
A: tell me if you need a break ok? Or if you're not comfortable.
Maine simply nodded. Alden was worried because she has this deer in headlights kinda look, and she looks overwhelmed by everything. He asked for water for both of them so he can still chat her up, while they were still setting up.
A: Maine, andito lang ako, just tell me kung too much is happening & I'll ask for a break. Wag kang mahiya sa kin, ok?

Oh my, mahal na yata kita, she thought. She's so greatful for everything he's doing right now she wanted to kiss him, OR NOT!
May time pa talagang humarot? Really, Nicomaine? The photographer approached them to give final instructions.
P: guys, I want fire from you both, bring the fire from KS here. I want to see the magic.
A&M: ok po.
A: pasensya na medyo nagkahiyaan kami kanina.
M: Alden, magic daw (whisper)
A: tsaka fire (kilay action)
They both laughed, & just like that, sparks were flying everywhere for everyone to see.
