It's interesting how much effect art can have on me. Color and shape and technique and risk and imagination all coming together to create a whole introspective moment.

And trust me I'm all for slapping colors together just because you can. But when you need to get something out of your system but you don't know how to put it in words... Making art with each stroke and hue having meaning is a wholly cathartic experience.

So here's the result of today's art therapy session.

I first wrapped the canvas with string and then started with blue-and-fiery side, melting carefully selected crayons with a hairdryer

I first wrapped the canvas with string and then started with blue-and-fiery side, melting carefully selected crayons with a hairdryer.

Then I worked on the purplish side, blending and blending and blending colors, adding subtle shapes with the melting wax.

Then I added my blue sky dots. That's my favorite part. XD

Then I unwrapped the strings and decided it looked like it needed something more

Then I unwrapped the strings and decided it looked like it needed something more. So I added glitter mixed with modge podge and a small saying to it using a micron pen.

This was the carnage left over afterwards:

And this is the finished result

Now I can't tell you what it all means because that would ruin what I think is the point of art

Now I can't tell you what it all means because that would ruin what I think is the point of art. Which is to be inspired by what others make and not let it be confined by what the artist meant. So let me know in the comments what this piece of art therapy looks like to you. :D
