First day of school; what's with this damn blonde?

I cuddle against Will and sink into the warmth coming from him. Mornings were always my favorite time of the day; for I'm able to be with my twin without anyone barging in. It was also the calmest; all those wild thoughts and emotions were less chaotic and softer.

"Will ... do you think father will let us be late?"

"What do you think?"

"Yes?"

"Believe I am giving you a look that says 'we're related how?' type of look." Will brings me closer and ruffles my hair.

I suck in a breath, his words hitting home. His words were true in a way; his hair was raven black, a contrast with my snowy-white. And where his eyes were pure golden, mine were almost a translucent silver-gold. He resembled our father more than I did with his dark shaggy hair and tall complex. I looked nothing like our father.

"Will ..."

"Hmm?"

"You're my other half right?" I roll to face him, my forehead leaning against his.

"I am the yin to your yang." He kisses my nose, "that's why you've got white hair and I've got black."

"You amaze me sometimes." I roll my eyes and kiss his cheek before getting out of the warm bed and leaving him still wrapped in blankets.

The day doesn't wait for everyone.

My head tilts to the side and my brows furrow. The school- if you can even consider it being called a school- was a castle painted pink. Will's hold on my hand tightens as laughter shakes his frame, his eyes staring at the building.

"How can you find this funny?"

"Never in my life had I thought I'd be going to a school that's pink!" He leans his full weight onto me and hangs his arms around my neck.

"Brother of mine, you're impossible." I sigh in defeat and wiggle out of his grasp. "At least I don't have to wear those horrendous dresses they make the females wear."

He stops laughing and looks from me to the other girls loitering about in the front of the gates. I'm dressed in a plain white tee shirt with a simple spaghetti strapped black dress over; whereas the other females are wearing knee length lemon colored dresses (they look like either lemon bars or pufferfish). I hadn't received the uniform in the mail.

"I'm glad you're my sister and not one of them." He shudders in horror and pretends to gag.

"Don't overreact. You're going to make a scene." I hit him on the shoulder and hide behind him when we start walking towards the pink castle. I could already feel the emotions pressing down on me.

Whispers and giggles arise when Will and I walk by. Nerves were setting once I felt the eyes of many on me and I grip Will like he was life himself. Since leaving America and Tyson- my one and only friend- I've lost some of the confidence in myself. Leaving a weak girl in place of the used-to-be strong girl who picked fights with everyone and anyone.

Where had she gone?

Classroom 1-A.

My worse nightmare come true. My only light is Will standing beside me with a straight spine and determined eyes. A deep breath exhales from me and I open the sliding door leading into the awaiting room beyond.

Chatter stops from the young students when Will and I walk in. Will pushes me behind him and lets me be closest to the blackboard when the teacher clears his throat for attention.
