Maddie was sitting in class next to AJ and Avery talking about making a movie (which isn't important but they were) when she all the sudden jumped out of her seat.

"I have to wiz" she announced and walked out of the room as everyone gave her weird looks.

She walked out of the classroom and down the abandoned hall. The only thing you could hear was the air conditioning and the occasional teacher telling the kids to be quiet as she walked past each room. Maddy turned the corner at the end of the dirty white hall and kept walking. She looked around and her gaze stopped at the big mural on the left wall by the steps. The mural was made up of about 50 little squares that each kid decorated and put together it made a paterne.

When Maddy got back to class a bunch of people were gone. She went back and sat next to Avery and noticed Aj was gone.

"Where did everybody go?" she asked.

"I don't know. They just all the sudden disappeared. I looked up and they were gone."

He said sounding slightly concerned.

The bell rang and Maddy packed up her bag and went to lunch.

She walked into the cafeteria and she realized many people were missing. Maddy went to talk to Pete, a shorter blond haired kid who was the same age as Maddie and seemed to always know what was going on.

"Where did everybody go?" she asked as she approached him.

"I don't know, everyone 17 to 20 disappeared." He whispered as he looked around to see if anyone was listening.

"You think they all ditched?" She questioned.

"No I think there's more to this".

Maddy walked outside and sat under a big tree to eat her lunch when a bottle with a note in it falls on her head. She opens the bottle and saw the note was actually a map. So off she went to follow the map that randomly fell out of a tree because she had a feeling it had something to do with the disappearance of all her friend.
