"Tessa!"
I groan at the familiar voice ringing in my ear.
"Mom! Please, just give me 5 more minutes!" I yell shifting the position of my pillow.
I was so tired from staying up late on the phone with Rochelle last night.
"Tess, you have to get up. School starts in less than 30 minutes!" My mom explains.
"Fine," I drawl my words, dragging myself out of my bed.
I flick the light switch on, turn on the faucet, and grab my toothbrush.
Rochelle and I were talking on the phone for nearly an hour and a half last night. The phone call mainly consisted of guys, movies, and drama.
I could barely keep my eyes open, beginning to yearn the wonderful warmth of my covers.

"Tessa!" Rochelle exclaims eyeing me.
"What?" I groan in frustration.
She fold her arms across her chest. "That's no way to talk to your best friend."
"I know, sorry Rochelle. I'm just so tired from our phone call last night," I apologize.
"Yeah, I forgive you. I'm pretty groggy too."
"So.. Ready to head to first period?"
"I'm not ready for anything related to work right now, but it's not like I have a choice," I sigh tucking a stray piece of hair behind my ear.
"Agreed," she chirps.
We head off to Mr. Meyers room, dreading the upcoming lectures of never ending algebra. Math formulas seem to be constantly never ending, and always becoming even more difficult to understand.
