Ilang beses ko nang sinubukang mag-aral pero hindi pa rin matanggal sa isip ko yung sinabi ni Neil kanina. It was clear when our families met that RR and I are the ones intended to tie the Ryan and Romulo corporations together. How come he claims na dapat siya ang ikakasal sa akin?

Nakaupo ako sa lapag ng living area habang nakakalat ang mga review materials ko para sa Accounting. I suck so much here. Meanwhile, si RR naman ay nasa kusina, nagluluto ng dinner namin.

I waited for a few more minutes for his reply. 8:00 na at wala pa rin. Seryoso ba talaga, Neil? This is my first ever Messenger message to you and you just seen-zoned me?!

Sumilip ulit ako sa chatbox namin, nagbabaka-sakaling mag-reply siya sa akin.

"Ano na namang nakita mo diyan, you look so pissed," sabi ni RR habang naglalatag ng mga plato sa dining table.

"Wala." I grumbled. I cannot say it's because of Neil for Pete's sake.

"Idaan mo na lang sa kain 'yan. After dinner, I'll help you review."

Dahil gutom na rin naman ako pumunta na ako agad sa dining table. He prepared two dishes.

"Is that adobong chicken?" turo ko doon sa ulam na brown ang kulay.

He stifled a giggle. "Adobong chicken? Ang conyo mo masyado, Cheska."

"Whatever," I grunted. I just rolled my eyes and sat in front of him. "Fried St. Peter's fish 'yan, right?" turo ko naman sa isang ulam.

This time he laughed his heart out. "Fine, fine. Totoo namang St. Peter's fish yan. But you know what it is locally called?"

I shrugged my shoulders. All my life I called it St. Peter's fish.

"Tilapia, Cheska."

"Tilapia?" I repeated. "It sounds weird."

Magkatabi kami ni RR sa living area habang sinusubukan niyang turuan ako about adjusting accounts.

"Ano 'to?" he pointed at figures with his pencil.

Sht, kakasabi lang niya ito eh. "Accrued..."

"Yes, accrued what?"

"Accrued... revenue?" I carefully said the answer because I am still confused. Natatakot lang ako na mapuno na si RR sa pagiging bobita ko.

He flashed a smile. "See, you're good. Oh eto naman next."

"RR." I faced him while sitting Indian style.

He instantly peeled his eyes away from the review materials. "Yes?"
