Chapter 2

Jalissa's POV:

"How was your day honey?" mum asks as I walk through the front door.

"Alright," I shrug.

"Did you make any friends?" she asks me.

"Yeah," I smile.

"That's good," she answers. I nod and grab an apple before walking upstairs into my room then I sit down on my bed and log onto Facebook to see who is on. I am shocked to see I have sixty friend requests already. I accept most of them but come across that name.

Beau Brooks

No way am I accepting that creep. I hit decline and continue to scroll through my newsfeed. My message button lights up so I click on it to find an inbox from Lucy.

Lucy Carter: Hey hey! Um there is this party tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to come? :)

A party shouldn't hurt, it will be fun.

Jalissa Matthews: Hey, yeah sure what time? :)

Lucy Carter: Great! It starts at 8 but Ryan will pick you up at 7:30, what's your address?

I reply to her giving her my address and run down stairs to tell mum.

"Mum, I'm going out tonight okay," I say.

"Excuse me, you need to ask first," she says raising her eyebrow.

I roll my eyes, "Mum can I please go out tonight with my new friends?"

"Yes you may," she answers. I jump in excitement and hug her before running back upstairs. I need to pick out an outfit plus do my hair! I stand there for about an hour looking through my clothes, this is my first party down here, I need to make a good impression.

I finally decide on a black crop top, red tight high-waisted skirt and black heels. I curl my hair loosely and just let it fall wherever then apply some makeup to my face creating a smoky effect on my eyes. I then apply some bright red lipstick to finish it.I look pretty good if I do say so myself.

I look at the time on my phone, quarter past seven. For the next fifteen minutes I just browse on Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr etc. and before I know it there is a knock at my door. I check myself in the mirror one last time before heading downstairs to find mum talking to Lucy and Ryan at the door.


"Hey guys," I smile.

"Hey," the both smile back.

"Jalissa home before twelve okay?" mum says.

"She can stay at my house tonight if she likes?" Lucy says butting in.

"Only if Jalissa wants to?" mum asks turning to me. I look at Lucy who winks.

"Yeah sure," I answer.

"Okay bye honey, be safe," mum says hugging me before I follow Lucy and Ryan out the door.

"Wow," Jake says as I hop into the car. I blush and giggle before putting on my seatbelt.

"She looks hot hey Jake," Ryan smirks as he drives off.

"Oath," Jake says staring at me. I roll my eyes playfully before blowing a kiss at him.

"Okay, I call dibs," Jake says raising his hand.

"Yeah, yeah, we will see buddy," Ryan laughs before turning up the music.

I Need Your Love by Calvin Harris is blasting through Ryan's speakers as we pull up outside a massive house. There is people everywhere drinking and dancing.

"Who's house is this exactly?" I ask.

"Kade Hawke, he is in our year," Lucy smiles.

"Okay," I smile as we hop out of the car.

"Let's go get drunk," Jake laughs as he takes my hand rushing me into the house.

As we walk in I look around at the people. Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites by Skrillex is playing, it kinda reminds me of a scene from Spring Breakers. People are drinking, taking drugs, dancing and hooking up, it is nothing like a party I have ever been to.

"I'm gonna go get a drink, you want anything?" Jake asks me.

"Vodka and lemonade please," I smile. He nods before walking off into the crowd of people leaving me all alone.

"Jalissa right?" a guy asks with blonde hair and brown eyes asks me.

"Yeah...." I trail off. Who is this random and how does he know my name.

"Kade Hawke," he says putting his hand out for me to shake.

"So you're the master behind this?" I smirk shaking his hand.

"That would be me," he laughs.

"Are you're parties always this..." I say trying to find a suitable word.

"Crazy?" he asks me.

"Yeah," I laugh.

"Pretty much," he laughs. We stand around for a bit before Kade speaks again.

"Hey it was nice meeting you, we should chill sometime," he says.

"Yeah, same here," I answer smiling. He hugs me before walking away leaving me alone again. Why is Jake taking so long?

"Hey sexy," someone whispers in my ear sending shivers down my spine. I turn around to see Beau standing there smirking at me. He has a bottle of vodka in one hand and a joint in the other.

"Ugh," I mutter as I walk away from him. Suddenly he grabs me by my waist and pulls me back.

"You're not going anywhere," he mumbles breathing onto me. I can smell the marijuana mixed with alcohol on his breath.

"Let go of me," I say sternly trying to get away from him.

"Or what?" he laughs.

"I will scream," I answer.

"Not like anyone will care, they are all off their faces," he says smirking. Fuck, he is right.

"Come on babe," he says leading me somewhere.

"Where are you taking me?" I ask him.

"Just out the back with my friends," he says taking another puff of his joint. I look at him with fear in my eyes, I don't know whether I should run or not. Part of me wants to run and scream for help but another part of me wants to follow him.

"I won't hurt you baby girl," he whispers. I just stare at him and his beautiful green eyes and he takes my hand once again pulling me out towards the back end of the yard. I look up to see four boys and the two girls.

Beau pulls me by my hand and makes me stand next to him.

"Beau you found her," the twin with the lip ring says. I think his name is Luke?

"Yeah I did Luke," he answers.

"She is pretty hot," the other twin says who I am guessing is Jai. His girlfriend stands there awkwardly at the remark Jai just made. I feel sorry for her, having to date these scumbags.

"You did good," the tall one says.

"You bet I did James," Beau says.

"Want some?" Luke asks me offering me a joint.

"Sorry, I don't smoke," I answer quietly rejecting his offer. Luke shrugs his shoulders before lighting it up and taking a puff.

"So where you from baby?" Beau asks me as he grabs my hips lightly.

"Gold Coast," I answer bluntly.

"Nice place there," he nods.

"Yeah," I mumble.

"What's wrong?" he asks me looking genuinely interested and sorry.

"You," I mutter a bit too loudly.

"Get fucked mutt, fuck off," he suddenly snaps at me.

"Gladly," I spit back before walking off. Suddenly he grabs me again, is he bi-polar or something? He looks me in the eyes before smashing his lips onto mine. At first the feeling is overpowering, I don't know what to feel. I find myself kissing him back and running my hands through his ragged hair. He bites my lip softly as his grip on my hips tightens. I whimper in pain slightly as he pulls away.

"Now fuck off," he snarls before walking back over to his group. Tears fill my eyes as I walk away from him. Why would he use someone like that and hurt them?

"Jalissa, where were you?" Jake asks me lightly grabbing my shoulder.

"Can you walk me home?" I sob.

"Okay babe," he says looking worried. He puts the drinks down and takes my hand before leading me out onto the street.

"Did you want to stay at mine tonight? Lucy won't be leaving anytime soon," he says looking towards me. I nod and smile faintly before looking down at my heels. He calls Lucy to let her know where we are then we walk in silence. We can hear the faint rumble of the music from the party as we walk away from it.

"Why are you crying?" he asks randomly.

"B-beau, he hurt me," I whisper.

"What did he do?" he asks through gritted teeth.

"He pulled me over to his group and we were talking. Then he asked me what was wrong and I told him it was him then he told me to fuck off so I walked away but he pulled me back and..." I say before stopping.

"What Jalissa?" Jake asks sternly.

"He kissed me and then let go of me and told me to fuck off again," I say as the tears fall from my eyes.

"He is such a dick," Jake says as he pulls me in for a hug. I sob into his chest as my body shakes.

"Shh Jalissa, don't worry about him okay. I will keep you safe," he whispers. I stand there for a minute just embraced in his arms.

"Come on, let's go home," he says breaking away from me. I nod and start to walk but he stops me.

"What?" I ask confused.

"I was gonna give you a piggy back," he laughs.

"Oh," I giggle as I hop onto his back. We walk back to Jake's, well he walks as we muck about. He is the funniest guy ever and he made me forget about Beau quickly which is good, it is what I need.

Beau's POV:

"So have you claimed her?" Luke asks me as I take a sip from my beer watching Jalissa walk away.

"Yeah," I answer looking back to the boys. Jai is getting a bit too close to Laurel for my liking.

"Jai fuck, get a room," I scoff at him. He rolls his eyes before dragging Laurel away.

"Let's go babe," Luke says to Kat as he takes her away from us.

"And then there was three," Skip jokes. I laugh at his horrible joke as I take a puff of my joint.

"What are you gonna say to her on Monday?" James asks me.

"I don't know, probably just kiss her again," I smirk to myself at the thought of kissing her. She is such a good kisser, wow.

"Bet she is good in bed," Skip winks.

"Well I will just have to find that out won't I?" I wink as I walk over to a group of chicks with the boys.

"Let's go fuck bitches," Skip raises his glass before walking over to the chick. I watch as James follows him and laugh to myself. Ah, this is the life.
