Is it a short one shot or a long headcanon?
"Prongs," Sirius said, disturbing my relaxing float in the pool. He sounded upset.
"Hmm?" I said.
"I've been thinking-" he said.
"Congratulations."
"Prongs, I'm serious," he said.
I rolled off of my pool float and pushed it over to him.
"What's up?" I asked.
"It's just... summer's almost over and this year we're going to have our NEWTS and we won't get to do anything fun. Prongs, we're going to have to follow rules! It's demeaning! I don't even know how to follow rules! And you're head boy now. It's going to be awful. It's like we won't be the Marauders anymore."
I could tell there was something he was intentionally leaving out. I knew he wanted to talk about Lily but was trying not to make me mad. I also knew he was right.
