15. The Deep End

Dippers POV

"Ugh...." i groaned along with everyone else. I hear a door slam and in walks Jess looking just fine. "Whoa what's up with you guys?" She asks casually. "Heat... must.... find... AC!" Mabel groans as we all, but Jess, lied on the ground sweating our butt's off. 
"You guys are overreacting!" She says. I stared at her in amazement. "How are you not hot?!" I asked. "Yeah! There's not a single drop of sweat on you!" Soos says. She raises an eyebrow at us. "Your not like some kind of dragon or heat resistant monster are you?!" Mabel asks then suddenly gasps. "That would be so cool!!" She fist pumps the air. "Um... no. Actually-"

"Why would she be a dragon? That just makes no sense. She probably just came out of her house with an air conditioner or something." I argue. "um well it's-" 
"Both of you guys make a valiant point though. There's some weird stuff in this town you know." Soos says. "But this is Jess who isn't from Gravity Falls. Unless you ate or drank something from here..." I point out. 
"Guys I just-"
"Making her turn into an awesome heat resistant monster slash dragon!" Mabel gasps. I see Jess face palm. 
We all look toward her. "Are you done now?" She asks. "Go on! Tell us!" Mabel says. 
She sighs. "First of all I have eaten stuff from Gravity Falls just this morning for breakfast and that isn't the case. Second of all, my AC has't worked right here for years from what I've been told. so you can rule that out of your questions as well." She explains. "So... why aren't you sweating what so ever on one of the hottest days in Gravity Falls?" Mabel asks. 

"Well honestly, I've always been this way. Since I was a baby actually. It's not the same with the cold though. I wish it was though." She says. Wow... "I guess that's kinda cool too!" Mabel smiles but it soon fades and she groans in agony. "I guess so..." She sighs. "Any who it's only like... 110 degrees out there. But seeing as you guys look like you could legitimately melt like those wax figures there's a pool up near town." She says. 

"Then what are we waiting for?! Let's go!!" Mabel shouts. Se runs near the exit before Jess stops her. "Mabel. Bathing suit." 

"RIGHT! I knew that!" She says rushing upstairs and Jess and I follow behind. 

{At the pool}

Jess' POV

Dipper and Mabel were ecstatic to just jump in. But when Mabel notices that I don't go in she walks up to me. "Come on! Jump in!" She says. Dipper puts his arms over the edge and waves me in. "I think i'll pass." I say. "Why? You aren't afraid are ya?" Mabel asks. "No that's not it it's just..." I sighed. "I'd rather not try and swim knowing i'm most likely swimming in someone else's spill." I say. "Trust me, if anyone ever did i'm sure the life guard would have noticed immediately and put him or her in the pool gutters." Dipper says pointing to the kid in the gutter.

"Yeah so... jump in!" Mabel says. "I don't know..." I start. "Okay, enough conversation." Dipper says. He grabs me by the knee caps and pulls me while Mabel pushes me in helping him. "Guys?! my god n-" I start but i take a dip in as i was fully pushed in. I come up gasping for air. 

"See! your fine! In fact, you look MORE than fine to me!" Mabel giggles. Dipper was randomly holding onto my hips. He backs away and I blushed. Then Mabel cannon balls in. We all laughed as we got splashed. Suddenly Dippers out of sight until I spot Wendy and Dipper chatting. "Huh, I didn't know Wendy was a life guard." Mabel says. 

Deep down I felt like the whole convenient store thing was gonna happen all over again. Not the ghost part but... our fighting because he ended up ignoring me for an entire week. "Your getting Jealous aren't you..." Mabel startles me. I sighed. "No, i'm not jealous. Why would I be... jealous..." I say. Mabel gives me the 'seriously?' look. This reminded me of the other night with Bill.
