"Sorry," I immediately said. "I can be too nosy sometimes. I don't know why someone hasn't chopped or bitten my nose off yet."

While I was rambling, he released the tension in his shoulders and leaned against the wall.

I was trying to lighten the mood and since it seemed to be working, I added, "And don't get any ideas! I have a cute nose and I'm very attached to it. Literally and figuratively speaking."

Wes studied me for a moment before reaching out slowly. He poked the tip of my nose and held his finger there. "It is a cute nose," he tilted his head in observation.

I crossed my eyes to look at it.

With a breathy, warm chuckle, he dropped his arm. "You're psychotic."

"I prefer the term colorful. It's from all the Skittles I eat. I bet I even taste like a rainbow!" I blurted, unable to stop myself.

Wes smirked at my flustered state. He shifted his weight away from the wall and leaned in closer. His sultry whisper tickled my ear. "We might have to test that theory sometime."
