•Ethan's Pov•
I saw how Serene rushed down the stairs to answer the door. I don't know why she was so surprised I was going on a date. Like tbh I'm pretty hot, and it would be weird f you didn't want to date me.

I heard Natalie introduce herself. Actually, I heard the whole conversation.

"Hi I'm Natalie! Nice to meet you! Is Ethan here?"  Natalie chirped.

"Yeah, somewhere around here." Serene groaned.

"Oh ok." Natalie walked in the house.

Serene started to walk away.

"Oh wait I don't remember your name, what is it?"  Natalie asked.

"Well yeah, I never gave it to you.  How would you forget it?  It's Serene."  Serene rolled her eyes and said in a 'duh' tone. 

Damn.  Serene can be a pain in the ass, but I find it really funny when she acts like a savage. I have no idea why this is really getting to Serene. We have been best friends since...well birth! I had a small crush on her, but I just don't think she sees me that way.

I walk downstairs and see Serene sitting on the couch with her head on Grayson's shoulder using her phone. I saw a tear roll down her eye, but I really don't know what's wrong. I don't want to cause a scene so I'll talk to her later.

I took Natalie out the door and we got in my car. I wasn't really as into her as I was before. She's nice and all, but I'm just really not in the mood. We went to a small cafe, and then we walked around the park a bit. I dropped her off at home. I don't think we will have another date.

•Serene's Pov•
I am going to admit I was a little jealous that Ethan was going on a date. Actually no, I was more than jealous. It kills me to see him with other girls. Ever since eighth grade it's been this way.

I really have nothing against Natalie. She's nice and pretty. I shouldn't have been as rude as I was, it was just my first reaction. Me and Gray went out and got Chipotle and then went home.

Around 9:15 Ethan walked inside. He said hi and went upstairs. I looked at Grayson.

"Serene just go." He said nodding towards the stairs.

I ran up the stairs and knocked on Ethan's door.

"Hey it's me, can I come in?" I asked.

"Yeah sure." He replied.

I walked in and smiled and sat next to him on his bed. He looked upset.

"Hey, are you ok Eth you look upset." I asked.

"Serene, can we go get Starbucks or something?" He answered.

"Yeah sure, I would never turn down a Starbucks run." I replied laughing.

We got in my car and drove. I ordered a green tea latte, and he ordered a vanilla latte. We decided to go to the bench at the park nearby. We sat in silence for a good 5 minutes. Until Ethan broke the silence.

"Why were you upset that I went on a date tonight?" He said not making eye contact with me.

"I don't know I just thought it was a little weird, I mean you just broke up with Jasmine." I replied.

"Well I think I have this under control Serene, but thanks for the consideration." He said sarcastically.

"Ethan I am sorry but I ju-" I got I interrupted

"Serene, you know what! Like why do you act like this?! Why should you care what I do with my love life?!" He yelled at me.

I don't know what I was thinking.

"Because I like you!" I screamed back.

I immediately regretted what I just did. This could ruin our relationship, our parent's relationship, and my relationships with Kayden, Jake and Grayson.

"Wait...you like me?" Ethan asked confused.

"Ethan forget I said anything it was a mistake I know you'd never like me like that and it would just ru-" He interrupted me again. This time in a good way. He crashed his lips onto mine. I immediately kissed back. It lasted for a few seconds and then he pulled away.

"Serene, I think I just might like you too." He said embarrassed.

We sat on the bench for a little longer. I put my head on his shoulder and he put his arm around me. We just sat there, and enjoyed each other's company.
