•Ethan's Pov•
I hear Gray's phone ring. It was Serene's mom...strange. Grayson answered.

Phone Conversation:

Hey Mrs. Matthews! What's up.

Grayson honey, where are you right now?

In an Uber going home, why? Is everything ok?

Grayson Serene has been involved in a serious car crash. I'm still on my buisness trip. Would you mind going to the hospital and checking up on her?

Oh my god! Me and Eth are on our way right now, we will update you as soon as possible. Bye Mrs. Matthews!

Bye honey, be carefule.

End of Phone Conversation

We turned our Uber around and made our way to the hospital. In 20 minutes that felt like forever, we got there. I ran inside while Gray payed the driver.

I ran up to the receptionist desk, and asked on the status of Serene.

"Serene Matthews please." I said trying to stay calm.

"Im afraid it's too early to make any decisions, we will work as fast as we can, you can go take a seat next to the young gentleman over there." She said trying to smile.

I looked behind me to see Jackson. He had red puffy eyes, as if he has been crying. I gave him a hug and sat down next to him.

1 hour later

The doctors came out of Serene's room and walked towards the waiting room.

"Serene Matthews?" He announced

All three of us stood up.

"I'm happy to tell you that Serene will be fine. She has a mild concussion and a few cuts and bruises but she is a tough girl. We will keep her overnight to monitor her concussion. You are free to see her now." He explained smiling.

We let Jackson go in first. They talked for awhile and then I let Grayson go. It was finally my turn. I walked in and saw Serene smiling. She had a few cuts and bruises, but I eased up to see that she was ok. Her smile dropped when she saw me. I'll admit, that hurt...a lot.

"Serene I am so happy yo-" I was interrupted.

"Ethan, why are you here?" She asked narrowing her eyes.

"Serene I took you for granted. I knew you would always be there. Your accident made me realize that maybe one day, you won't be there. That scared me. I'm sorry for the way I acted." I said

"Eth I-I forgive you." She stuttered. "Ethan I was so scared, I thought I lost you, I thought you were done with me."

"Serene no matter how old we get, we will always be there for each other. Nobody can break, now a 16 year relationship." I said smiling.

•Serene's Pov•
When Ethan apologized, I was so happy. He's right. I've been his friend for 16 years, neither of us are going anywhere. Ethan left a little while later after we talked some more. I felt so warm inside. I fell asleep with a big smile on my face.
