That Night
"Here, you can sleep on the comfy bed. The other one's better for my posture anyways." Coco said, leading Velvet into the bedroom, where two beds lay adjacent to one another.
"Thank you Coco..." Velvet sighed, lying down and pulling up the fluffy covers.
"If you need anything, don't be afraid to wake me. If you get hungry or thirsty, there's water and energy bars in the mini fridge." Coco said, patting the small fridge timidly.
Velvet yawned and rolled over, clearly wanting to be done with the day. Coco unconsciously agreed, as a yawn invaded her visage as well. She changed into her pajamas, flopping down onto her bed.
2:53 AM
Coco woke slowly to a tickle in her nose, which she reached to scratch, but found her arm blocked by a warm presence. She looked down to see Velvet snoozing calmly beside her, her face at peace, despite the events of the day before.
"What is she doing in my bed?" Coco thought, her mind racing a mile a minute. She ran over all of the possible routes she could take, but decided to just fall back asleep. She laid down, planting a light kiss on Velvet's forehead, and fell asleep again within seconds.
