"No fucking way you did that!" Zion refused to believe my story about the time I pranked my entire football team back in my college days. The prank was that I snuck into the boys' locker room at midnight and stole all their uniform for the football match the following evening.

"Were you ever caught!?" Dan, Zion's boyfriend asked me.

"Nope, I coloured them all pink and returned them to their lockers and went back to my dorm after. And to this day they have no idea who did it. They called it 'The Pinky Incident'. The game was good though, we won for the first time since forever so they kept the pink for good luck, but they never found out it was me," I smiled proudly.

"Wow, you really are the most badass person here," Dan finally admitted and I nodded.

The bell rang, which meant someone entered my little bookshop. I turned my head to look at the new visitor when I was dumbfounded by the most gorgeous blue eyes. I turned back to Zion when I saw her mouth hanging slightly open.

"Do you know him? He looks oddly familiar."

Zion looked at me wide eyed as if I were a moron.

"You don't know who he is? Dude, you showed me so many gifs and pictures of him, I'd be sure you'd recognise him the minute you'd see his jawline, that's Chris Evans for fucks sake, your one true love?!" She nearly shouted until Dan shushed her, reminding her it's a small shop and Chris could hear her.

"Oh my god, you're right!" I gasped. "What should I do?" I asked eagerly.

"Ask him out!" Dan said excitedly.

"Are you insane? Sure let me be like, hey Chris, I'm a big fan, wanna go out? For fucks sake Dan, have some common sense."

He laughed to himself and Zion giggled at my response.

"He's coming over here..." Dan whispered and nudged my elbow to turn around. I turned around and Chris nearly ran into me.

"Uh, do you know where the non-fiction books are?" He asked, clearly wishing he wouldn't have.

"Yeah, it's over there," I pointed to the left corner of the shop.

"Thanks," He smiled gently and rushed over there.

"Well, if this wasn't the cutest story ever, I can't wait to tell this story at your wedding!" Zion beamed as I face palmed, cringing.

Chris waited at the cashier register to buy a book.

"Tams, that's your cue," Dan smiled at me.

"Oh fuck off," I said in a rather bad British accent, beginning to walk over to the register. I could've sworn I saw Chris smile to himself when he heard me. If he did, it means he heard the entire fucking conversation. I widen my eyes at the realisation of him knowing I have a crush on him but quickly return them back to normal when I noticed his eyes were rising from the ground to look at me.

"That'll be 20$ please," I said with a sweet smile and put his book in a bag and handed it to him. He took it and gave me a 20$ bill.

"Thank you for shopping at City of Glass!" I called out. He turned around and looked into my dark chocolate eyes with his baby blue ones.

"Oh, it was my pleasure. And, by the way," He paused to walk back to the counter and continued, "yeah, I will go out with you," my face immediately went crimson red.

"Y-Y-You heard that?" I stuttered out.

"This isn't a very large store, I must say, but, luckily for me it's the perfect size to hear your whispering," He gave me a small note with his phone number and winked at me.

After he left, I returned to my stool near my friends.

"Oh my god."

"We heard," Zion said, her mouth agape.

"And it's been the hardest not to laugh," Dan said and immediately burst out in laughter, causing Zion to smack his shoulder playfully.

"Do you have to ruin everything, Howell?

"I'm pretty sure you know the answer to that," He smiled proudly.

"So, you have his number, right?" I nodded as she continued, "Text him!"

"And say what?" She snatched my phone out of my hands and took the note with her.

"Hey, not cool!" She just shrugged and entered the number to my contacts, calling him 'Marvelous Meatball'. I laughed and so did Dan.

"Nice, I like the pun," She gave us a small bow, obviously proud of her pun.

"How about this: 'hey Chris, this is Tamara from the shop'?"

"He didn't even ask for your name, how rude," Dan said, shaking his head causing me to smile.

"Sounds okay, I suppose..." She hit send and there was no going back now. My phone pinged which said he replied.

"Quick replies, I like that," I said, smiling bashfully.

Zion handed me my phone back and I read the reply out loud:

"Hey Tamara, I know it's your name now, my apologies for not asking, not cool on my side. Anyway, wanna go out tonight at 8?" I smiled widely and blushed at his words.

"Oh my god!!!! Come on, say yes and we'll go get ready!!"

"Um, ladies, with all do respect, today is Phil's birthday and we have a party to plan...If you want, you can invite him, Phil loves Captain America."

"Yeah, you're right, I'll invite him," I texted back to Chris the invitation along with the details if he'll want to come.

"Chris is coming, oh my god.."

"Hot," Zion said and I laughed lightly.

"Alright come on, we gotta go find something to wear for the party, especially now that Chris coming, Dan, mind keeping an eye on the store?"

"No problem, have fun girls, but come back here at 4 pm, so we'll get the details settled," Zion and I nodded. She pecked his lips and we went on our way to get ready.
